lmsforever
Excellent pics good for details ,but the livery shows up the body imperfections wonder how long it will be before it starts to fade or peel?

RMweb Premium Steadfast Posted March 8, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 8, 2011 So that's what 91130 looks like. Thanks for popping those up Dan It's grey, not silver like the others. Cost cutting? cheers jo
RMweb Premium Richard E Posted March 8, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 8, 2011 The set was outshopped from Donny at the end of last week by attaching a Virgin liveried Thunderbird in place of the 91 and using the set in 'push pull' mode. Not sure when the 91 was shopped but it certainly was not done as a full set.
RMweb Gold Adam1701D Posted March 31, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 31, 2011 Looks like grey is the new silver. 91103 was outshopped today from Doncaster works, also in the same grey as 130. Wonder if the coaches will follow suit? I presume this is a money-saving initiave, as East Coast are trying to drastically cut costs behind the scenes. Here's the blunt-end, for reference. The white panels below the headlights are the standard data-panels. And representing my first foray into Photoshopping, a slight modification to the pointy end... RMweb Premium Richard E Posted April 1, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 1, 2011 In the last week or so I've seen 91130 several times - it is definitely gloss Grey. I've also seen an unidentified pair of 91's, one in new livery and one in old, double heading a north bound 225 set at Holme on Tuesday evening (I wonder if 91103 was the old livery one?) and an old livery 91 at Doncaster approaching the station from the upside South Yard. On the double heading working only the outer 91 was in use as the panto was in the down position on the trailing locomotive (the old livery unit). And finally this morning I saw 91109 which has been recently shopped by the look of it (it is in the new livery) and is now wearing a set of brand new name plates - "Sir Bobby Robson".
