  1. Camping Coaches usually had steps fixed down to ground level. They would be protected so they couldn't move. This one at Llanberis had a sleeper fixed across the rails on the 'live railway' side of it. http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/l/llanberis/index5.shtml
  2. Just as I was going to post a 59 at Mitre Bridge, for the wild card I'll have what I was going to ask for, a 58 on a passenger train. Apologies for the quality, but I was walking across from Moor St to the office one morning early in 1989 when I saw this over the wall. Wires were down and diesels were hauling Euston trains to Nuneaton. Next a loco in Banger Blue on a TOC-liveried train in privatisation
  3. Class 50 coming off southbound train to be replaced by an AC Electric at Crewe Station, 1968 Next up let's have a big arrow 47 on a passenger train
  4. Another late survivor, Bristol & Exeter coach converted to an Inspection Saloon. It is pictured at Warwick still in GWR livery in 1954. http://www.warwickshirerailways.com/gwr/gwrw2626.htm It was still parked at Lapworth in June 1956, but looks to be in use as a cabin or office. http://www.warwickshirerailways.com/gwr/gwrl3283.htm
  5. This will take you to the picture of coupling up I mentioned earlier. http://www.mjk-h0.dk/evp_Df/14068-DSC01692.AAB%204.Soller.27.10.2016.JPG
  6. The picture you need is on this page, scroll down to 27 October 2016 for a picture of coupling up. There is a mis-match in the buffer heights. http://evp.dk/index.php?page=mallorca-s-sporvej-og-jernbaner
  7. About 3/4 of the way down the page at Roca Roja, our daughter booked us a family holiday a couple of years ago in the house just visible to the left of the tram directly by the loop ponits. Didn't take any numbers but I recon within the week I must have classed them.
  8. Two of the power cars No.3 at Bunyola No.4 at the mountain viewpoint A few of other items to be going on with: Bunyola Yard from the station Bunyola Turntable used to access goods shed and siding Track Machines in the depot Tamper parked opposite the depot
  9. Front end view at Bunyola here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/121161-and-the-next-photo-will-havereal-railway-version/page-23&do=findComment&comment=2708726
  10. I've checked out my photos but don't have any of the coupling between the motor coach and trailers. If you are doing a layout I have a few infrastructure pictures such as point levers and the level crossing and station at Bunyola. I've also got one of a tamper parked there.
  11. Don't think Swindon paint jobs on diesels were up to much and the stuff they used in the washers was a bit vicious.
  12. Here's one coming down the Northampton line at Rugby with a stopper from Euston in August 1960. A nice mix of LMS coaches. Next one will have a green EMU anywhere but the Southern region.
  13. Brian Haresnape's article in Moder Railways is available at http://www.doublearrow.co.uk/pdfs/Modern_Railways.1965-01.pdf
  14. I the Modern Railways article in 1966 Brian Haresnape did mention that the final Rail Blue was darker than that used on the XP64 set. For my own part I've only got one slide showing a difference in shade between vehicles, with E3151 and a BSO in September 1967. Photo C E Steele The loco looks a different shade to the coach, but this may be because of road dirt, wear, or the different reflected colours each will pick up from the surroundings with the coach being a curved surface and the loco being slab sided.
  15. 24 hours and no offers. I've got several, but to give you all a chance let's extend it to allow ex-WD locos working in preservation.
  16. 84008 at Tyseley for an Open Day in 1972 Photo C E Steele Next up, an Army loco, steam or diesel, still in Army use at the time of photo.
  17. Site report shows Not tried it on my laptop which is running Kaspersky
  18. 24 hours and no bites, here's a long shot at Reading in February 1975 Photo C E Steele To get things started again, let's have a wild card but make it something unusual please.
  19. I'm getting a warning from the antivirus from the site
  20. A couple of nice ones from John Turner's collection today. Mixture of DPUs, power cars, tail traffic and mixed liveries. https://flic.kr/p/UJ4GzL https://flic.kr/p/UURadQ
  21. The Jinty has the same arrangement as the 57xx. The pick-ups finish about in line with the brake rods so are well above rail level.
  22. This livery from 1979? Next let's have one of the prototype HST on its test runs.
  23. Bachmann playing to the MIB/Display Cabinet modellers. Catching pickups on check rails and falling off curves isn't a problem to them. Perhaps they should make two chassis, one for those of us who want to run our models and those who just want to sit and gloat at their unrun rarities.
