  1. The only countries in the region who drive on the right are Myanma (Burma), Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. I suspect its either Tiawan or South Korea or possibly the Phillipines.
  2. You've still got to clear out the dead flies from the car though.
  3. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Had problems with the watch this morning, it stopped in the night same as last time but once it was reset after a few fits and starts its running perfectly now. Those fits and starts however gave me a clue as to what the problem is. It was still pretty dark this morning so I switched the bedside light on and the watch reluctantly started but as soon as the light was switched off it stopped. I left it under the lit lamp for about 15 minutes and it now works OK. The prime suspect is the battery, no surprise really as it and the watch are nearly 19 years old. I'm not sure as to whether its worth replacing the battery or getting a new watch, the photo-electric cell seems to be OK.
  4. The Airfix rolling stock was pretty good, except for the wheels which were easily replaced.
  5. Not anywhere on the Indian sub-continent, drive on the right applies.
  6. There is an Oxford Rail Facebook group as well.
  7. Plenty of Starlings this morning occupying a still leafless tree across the road. A bit nearer to home, in fact a few yards from my front door the sparrows appear to be building a nest in an evergreen bush. I wish them well but I think they are a bit premature.
  8. The rails look rather heavy for a tram line, possibly light and heavy rail sharing the same track?
  9. There's more than 600 to choose from.
  10. Morning all from Estuary-Land. A bit of unfortunate timing for the BBC on yesterdays evening news. The reporters outside the Houses of Parliament were just signing off when a certain big yellow bus hove into view in the background with a political slogan on the side, oops... Now back to ER business, best wishes to John and Sandy and all other ailing ER's. A bit grey but dry at the moment but the forecast is for colder and wetter to come. Thats it for now folks, be back later.
  11. The 12" by 12" one I mentioned above, IIRC it was £10.
  12. They were used against enemy shipping. On the other hand the German guns fired shells into Dover.
  13. Co-codamol is available over the counter, I take it sometimes without any problems. Perhaps its the combined effects with another medicine, best to have a word with your GP.
  14. I did purchase mine at the Stoke Mandeville exhibition last year.
  15. They're still working on making the indicators automatic though.

    There's allways rule one.
  17. I have a fiddle yard board made my Tim, its only 12 X 12 inches but the baseboard it goes with is only 3 feet long (also by Tim).
  18. Morning all from Estuary-Land. I can assure Tony that there was no frost this morning, and I was up at seven! I wanted to catch the weather news but this morning BBC seems to stand for Brexit Broadcasting Corporation so I switched the TV off. Still hammering and drilling away next door, the new owner told me that he's had to replace a lot of the flooring upstairs, not because of anything nasty but because previouse owners have been less than careful when lifting floorboards for access to pipes and suchlike. Thats it for now, be back later.
  19. A weasel walks into a bar and the barman asks "What are you drinking?" and the weasel answers >> "Pop."
  20. They'd probably get confused if you showed them a line of shovels and asked them to take their pick.
  21. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Finally disposed of the failed LED bulb, just dropped it into the box marked 'long life bulbs' as instructed by the staff. I also had a couple of water filter cartridges, I squeezed them in the marked box which was pretty full. Next door they are still busy, they've had to replace a few broken floorboards that were not discovered until the carpets were lifted.
