  1. FIFTY SHADES OF GREY BY PAM AYRES The missus bought a Paperback, down Shepton Mallet way, I had a look inside her bag;... T'was "Fifty Shades of Grey". Well I just left her to it, And at ten I went to bed. An hour later she appeared; The sight filled me with dread. In her left hand she held a rope; And in her right a whip! She threw them down upon the floor, And then began to strip. Well fifty years or so ago; I might have had a peek; But Mabel hasn't weathered well; She's eighty four next week!! Watching Mabel bump and grind; Could not have been much grimmer. And things then went from bad to worse; She toppled off her Zimmer! She struggled back upon her feet; A couple minutes later; She put her teeth back in and said "I am a dominator!!" Now if you knew our Mabel, You'd see just why I spluttered, I'd spent two months in traction For the last complaint I'd uttered. She stood there nude and naked Bent forward just a bit I went to hold her, sensual like and stood on her left tit! Mabel screamed, her teeth shot out; My God what had I done! She moaned and groaned then shouted out: "Step on the other one!!" Well readers, I can tell no more; Of what occurred that day. Suffice to say my jet black hair, Turned fifty shades of grey!!
  2. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Ventured down to Tess Coes this lunchtime, stocked up with some more foodstuffs so now I've got about 10 days worth. There was plenty of milk and bread as well so theres no need to shop in the wee small hours. Just as well as there was notices on the doors saying that they'll be shutting from 11 pm until 5 am until further notice, not to worry as I was expecting something like that to happen. Still very busy, normally its quiet Monday/Tuesday but its been more like a Saturday. In the Daily Mirror there is an advice page re. COVID19. The advice to over 70's in good health and no underlying health issues, which includes myself, is to follow the advice given to under 70's, so its a case of take precautions and carry on as usual. Unless theres cake in the offing. You haven't told SWMBO then?
  3. Forgot to add. My brother is an idiot, with the coronavirus he is extreamly high risk as he is on dialysis, so yesterday he went shopping!
  4. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Have to be quick as I'm shooting off down to Tescoe's for supplies, bread and milk plus a few other bits. I'm planning to do the main shopping early tomorrow morning before sparrow fart and while the cockwombles are still snoring. I asked the local newsagent about having the paper delivered but they've stopped taking orders because a lot of people have had the same idea and in case there is a shortage of deliverers if the virus takes a hold.
  5. It looks like a BR 16 ton mineral wagon and it appears to be loaded with coal. The locomotive looks like an austerity 0-6-0ST. Going by the vehicles and the Renault having reflective number plates it is probably post 1970.
  6. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Another show that has been cancelled is the South Benfleet show on the 28th. Luckily they've re-scheduled it for the 19th September. No news yet of two other events that weekend, the Brentwood toy fair and Southern Expo 2020 but I wouldn't be surprised if they are also cancelled. I've also ordered an ultra-violet torch from e-bay, Its one way of making sure that theres no viruses on a surface, a good dose of UV light. I've not seen it mentioned anywhere else, I hope it works. Time to put the kettle on, be back later.
  7. Where was it taken? It appears to be an industrial railway, a coal mine perhaps?
  8. Thanks for that advice Smiffy. I have ordered some face masks on the internet but I will only use them if it is recommended as they are not re-usable, the re-usable ones were sold out. FYI its through a website called Groupon, just go into the site and type in search 'face masks'. They were still offering bog rolls a couple of days ago.
  9. I recognise some of the names and no doubt some have changed but theres many there I don't know. A few no doubt are now operating that big layout in the sky.
  10. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Bright and sunny here this morning and predicted to last at least until Wednesday. When I open my e-mails of a morning there is usually a number of people wanting to join some of the groups that I run. Among this mornings applicants was a lady who looked familiar, she works part time in the local chippy. Its a local (Essex) old photographs group that gets some railway items from time to time.
  11. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Spoke to my brother earlier. He's not as badly affected by the coronavirus as I thought he would be. Surprisingly he does not have to take immune suppressants despite having heart valves from a cow installed. Also the dialysis suite is not in the main hospital but a separate unit. They do monitor his temperature though before the start of each session. I normally shop for fresh food every day, I'm considering doing my shopping late evening/early morning when theres fewer people about, Tess Coes is open 24 hours. Just a thought about shopping, are the supermarket trolleys safe to touch? I do have a box of latex gloves, I think it might be an idea to keep them in the car.
  12. Colin Penfold, Thanks for the compliment but I have never been employed by any railway.
  13. Congratulations, and heres to another 15 years.
  14. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Self imposed quarantine at the moment. Simple reason is I have no reason to go out. I have sufficient supplies for the next few days and I gave up on Sunday papers as I never had time to read them. Time to put the kettle on, be back later.
  15. Or a Radial tank? The critical factor would be the coupled wheelbase followed by the wheel size.
  16. Google also cites Little C0cklick and Pulham Down.
  17. Morning all from Estuary-Land. I suspect Ally-pally will be called off, what with layouts and traders pulling out. If you are not attending or it is cancelled there is this.>> Though you have to be a Farcebook member to participate.
