  1. But hasn't Man U been relegated to the second division yet?
  2. Probably get done for illegal loading as well.
  3. It was still in one piece after being dragged out of its resting place so there must have been some integrity to what was left of the structure.
  4. Evening all from Estuary-Land. It was chuckinitdarn a little while ago, now drying out and no rain predicted for tomorrow. The second wheelbarrow from the first vendor (1/2) is out on the patio and the cardboard box is a bit soggy now, but I've nowhere else to put it. I expect I'll have another wheelbarrow delivered tomorrow, number 2/2 (second wheelbarrow from second vendor). Thats all for now, time to put the kettle on, be back later.
  5. Why do dogs sniff around the base of trees? They're checking their pee-mails.
  6. Sorry, wrong currency. But bread pudding and Danish pastries are acceptable.
  7. Left out for the metal faries perhaps. The gear stick was still there so perhaps the engine and transmission were there as well. The majority of steel produced in this country comes from scrap and rust (iron oxide) is better because a lot of impurities have leached out.
  8. I've just had a reply from the second wheelbarrow supplier. They are sending a replacement and do not want the faulty one returned. I am being inundated with wheelbarrows! The first wheelbarrow could probably be 'fixed' by someone with the necessary skills and tools neither of which I possess. The fault is an 8 mm hole drilled through a steel tube about 1.5 mm out of true. Plenty of thunder hereabouts at the moment but no rain yet.
  9. There's plenty of offshore islands around Essex, ideal for smuggling.
  10. This had appeared on Facebook a little while ago. Apparently it was a camper and it caught fire. It was left were it was for a number of years and then it was 'rediscovered'. It was dragged out of its resting place and the photograph was taken before it went for scrap.
  11. Come and get your pee-mail here.
  12. Morning all from Estuary-Land. The postman has delivered a couple of subscription magazines, one of which I hadn't subscribed too. I had subscribed to 'Model Collector' magazine but had not received anything last month and this months edition was due about now, in fact I was going to contact them to enquire about it. The magazine that I was not subscribed to, Diecast Collector dropped through the door with an accompanying letter explaining that Model Collector has folded due to the corona virus and that subscriptions had been transferred. Another magazine that I subscribed to has been merged with another from the same publisher so I'm quite happy with that. You will also need a treasurer and I am quite willing to step into that role. Donations please in used banknotes, Sterling, Euro's or US dollars preferably but not Roubles or Zimbabwean dollars. Failing that signed blank cheques, diamonds or gold bullion.
  13. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Arthur Itis is insistent that it is going to rain in the wee small hours so a brace of co-codamols is keeping him quiet. My friends lad is back at school, three days a week. Being special education needs he needs the tuition. He was doing very well since he's been attending the special school but the school being locked down hasn't helped.
  14. With ze flashing knobs?
  15. Nearly forgot, congratulations to Mrs. Rick, Sharon on getting her qualification.
  16. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. The wheelbarrow saga continues. I started putting the wheelbarrow from the second vendor and guess what, the parts don't fit! The two sides of the frame are in two parts, the handle and the legs. The two halves slot together and have a hole drilled through to bolt them together and to the tray. The problem is on one side the holes don't line up! I've contacted the vendors, who are local and awaiting their reply, hopefully I will be able to swap over the wrong parts. While I was putting it together there was a knock at the door, it was a courier delivering another wheelbarrow from the first vendor! They have told me that I should be getting a refund so I'll wait a while to see if they can cock that up as well. Not only the wheelbarrow saga but I contacted the shed people. My shed is still coming, but not for a couple weeks yet, but I've been offered a discount due to the delay.
  17. There's always IZAL loo paper, or is that a bit too rough?
  18. The ridiculous thing is that the London Transport Museum has everything at R.R.P. then after a certain time clears the stock at knock down prices. A prime example was the Heljan Metropolitan Bo-Bo. They disposed of that particular model for £35 each. They were sold out within an hour and surprise, surprise they appeared on e-bay a day or two later at 3 to 4 times that price. Its worth keeping an eye on the LTM shop for clearance sales but you have to be quick to bag a bargain.
  19. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Bright and sunny this morning but not expected to last, and Arthur Itis agrees. Still no news on the shed yet so if they don't reply soon I'll be on the blower giving them an ear bashing. Have to get on now before the rain arrives, be back later.
  20. There was only a limited number produced for the London Transport Museum and they are now getting scarce. A year or two back the museum sold what was left in stock at knock down prices.
  21. FYI Mangapps and the Epping and Ongar Railway will be opening from the 1st. of August and the Chappel and Wakes Colne from the 15th.
