  1. The Viper wheelbase is 33 mm which if it is 1/72 scale gives a wheelbase of 93.5 inches. If it were 1/76 scale it would be 98.75 inches. The Thunderbird has a 35 mm wheelbase but the Corvette is 40 mm. The Corvette has no pull and go mechanism and nothing at all on the baseplate, all the others are by Kinsmart having the same pull and go mechanism.
  2. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Just spent an hour catching up on I-player A House Through Time. I had missed the last episode and decided to catch up whilst it was still available. The cottage I had in Burnham-on-Crouch was built in 1862. I managed to find a bit of the history but sadly not a lot as this was before the days of the internet. My grandparents house in St. Leonards was even older, built in 1815 of massive sandstone blocks, the nearby quarry were the sandstone came from was turned into a small park a few years after the house was built and is still a park. Both properties were built as terraced 2 up 2 down workmens dwellings and had scullery and bathroom extensions added later.
  3. They arrived this morning, The Dodge Viper is indeed Kinsmart and marked 1/72 on the base. The taxi seems to have gone missing but I'm not bothered about that. The woodies are marked 1/82 on the base.
  4. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Might be a little more rain on the way tonight according to Arthur Itis. I still have to assemble the wheelbarrow but I should be able to this weekend. Despite being cut what parts of the lawn that is still green is getting rather long, another job for the weekend.
  5. Hello again from Estuary-Land. Made a few bookings today, a haircut on Monday, 3 pm. I really do need a haircut, usually I get it cut about March but lockdown put a stop to that. Last time I had a haircut was October IIRC. Its going to cost me £11:50 as like many things Covidvirus has meant greater costs but as I would have had a couple of haircuts at £7 a time thats not too bad. The car has to go in for its MOT and service. The MOT expires on the 31st of this month so it misses the three month moratorium on MOT's that also expires on the same day. Just as well really as over the next three months there will be a backlog of MOT's to be done.
  6. I think you need a UK location. Try Facebook under gp fans english (all lower case)
  7. At the local Tesco's where the trolley wheels lock when you take one out of the car park. However if you pull the trolley backwards the locks are ineffective.
  8. Do they have a model railway club in Pentonville?
  9. Clearly the truck was on the roundabout and driven correctly. No problem except that a stupid pr@tt tried to cut him up.
  10. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. The Spitfire this morning is explained thus:- https://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/cambridge-news/full-spitfire-flypast-route-nhs-18573231 It was circling to the south when I first heard and saw it, the second time I heard and saw it it was flying right over Basildon Hospital which is only a quarter of a mile from my house. It flew over the hospital at the designated time, 10:20 and I presume the first fly by was to ensure he flew over the hospital at the right time. I have to disagree with Flavio, beef dripping jelly is the nectar of the gods especially as the medium for frying bread or spread on hot toast. Should be OK as long as your name's not Bob.
  11. The Lingotto building is now a hotel.
  12. Nice looking model but a bit too big for 00 scale. Similar etched 00 scale trolleys are available, IIRC from Dart Castings.
  13. New kid on the block. https://www.gpfans.com/en/articles/54162/official-f1-to-race-at-mugello-in-2020-season/ Usually hosts motorcycle events but the last formula car event was a Formula 3000 event in 2000.
  14. Here in black and white. https://www.gpfans.com/en/articles/54165/red-bull-definitively-rule-vettel-out-of-running-for-2021-drive/
  15. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Had an e-mail this morning from the printer repairs shop, my payment had been refused by my bank. I went on to the bank security straight away to find out what the problem was. Apparently a previous payment had flagged up as to a dodgy account so a stop was put on all internet and phone transactions. My bank has an automated system to contact customers about such transactions and I had in fact had two such calls. Problem was it was an electronic voice message with a female South Asian accent and whats more my name was mispronounced which immediately raised my suspicions so I put the phone down. Luckily it didn't take long to sort out and now all is well. Simon, I'm now glad that I opted to have my shed built for me even though it cost an extra £60. Only problem is that it should have been delivered and erected by the end of last month. I've now been told that I will be contacted next week to arrange delivery and construction the week after. About twenty minutes ago I heard a noise outside so I looked out to see a Spitfire heading in Tony's direction, about five minutes later I heard another Spitfire (or the same one?) this time heading in a south west direction. There's some events taking place today to mark the start of the Battle of Britain. The best way to fry bread in beef dripping is to melt the dripping in the pan then drop a dollop of the jelly from the dripping into the pan and drop the bread in on top of it. I will not be responsible for keyboards covered in dribble.
  16. Its a roll of paper towel for customers to wipe down trolley handles. Its standing on a box behind the trolley.
  17. The bottom line is you can't anticipate stupidity.
  18. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Reading through the last two pages of ER's mostly on fried food I can faintly hear the sound of hardening arteries. Just to add to it I raise you fried bread done in beef dripping, the only fried bread worth eating. Traffic on Farcebook has dropped off considerably, almost down to pre lockdown numbers. Now to catch up on the rest of RMweb.
  19. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. An article I saw recently bought to mind Flavio's remark a while ago about Vegans. Apparently Lewis Hamilton's dog is now completely vegan. WTF! Hamilton claims that going vegan has eliminated the dogs breathing difficulties. The fact that the poor pooch is some sort of bulldog that likely has breathing difficulties due to its (in) breeding doesn't even come into the equation. If I had my way both he and the breeders of his 'trophy pet' would be prosecuted for animal cruelty. Now for a bit of eyelid inspection, be back later.
  20. If not his licence the hike in his insurance premiums.
  21. And more electrical problems:-https://www.gpfans.com/en/articles/54118/red-bull-avoid-pu-changes-as-honda-apply-countermeasures-after-austria-issues/
