  1. Chinese GP off, Spain doubtful but Nurburgring a possibility:- https://www.gpfans.com/en/articles/54737/chinese-gp-off-nurburgring-malaysia-in-talks-spain-on/
  2. Had a look at those. I can't help thinking that the Intercity 125 one would form the shape of the original train when worn.
  3. Just looked out and caught the last of the sunset. Red sky so it should be a fine day tomorrow.
  4. Evening all from Estuary-Land. I have three bucket lists, should be easy, a bit more difficult but still possible and only if I win the lottery/ live to be 120. Another item has been added to the third list. Apparently South African Railways are now operating a rail safari. You travel via a hotel train to various destinations where you spend a few days on safari using the train as a base. Now lets check those lottery tickets. I couple of items on list one would have been done by now if it wasn't for this damn virus.
  5. Some drivers seem to be unaware that you can go into the cross hatching if the lines defining it are broken and it is safe to do so. The same rules as a double white line apply.
  6. A fellow SEERS member has just flagged this up:- https://masquette.square.site/ a bit pricey but if you want to stand out in a crowd.
  7. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Excuse the multiple posts above (I've notified the mods) but I couldn't see any posts that I'd recently posted and the above is the result of my attempts to post. For anyone who's posts seem to disappear I resolved it by signing out and then signing in again. The printer is now up and running after the engineer fitted the new bits including an unexpected bonus. One of the components was an imaging kit which is a part that contains the developers. There are four developers, the three primary colours and the black. It was the black developer that had failed and the imaging frame that holds the developers also needed renewing. I paid £70 for the imaging kit and £40 for the black developer, both were the cheapest that I could find. A developer would normally set you back about £70. The engineer was surprised to find the imaging unit was fitted with four brand new developers. Needless to say they are now installed in the printer. Sorry Flavio but I forgot to ask him about 3D printers,
  8. I posted this morning and clicked the submit reply button at 08:28 to find that RMweb had shut down!
  9. Morning all from Estuary-Land. I started the debate on carriage tables. As I recall some stock had half tables, only between the window seats, a much better arrangement. I'll have more to report when RMweb comes back. The above I was about to post at 08:28 when RMweb was switched off early. (I thought it was supposed to be 08:30)
  10. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Didn't get any gardening done today after all. Spent most of the afternoon on eyelid inspection. The sores on my ankle are not troubling me as much but they're still a bit sensitive, just touched it and it was like a red hot needle. Many happy returns for tomorrow Keith. The BBC breakfast program is usually live and in a typical 3 hour program they would go back to the same place to interview several people. The recorded item that is shown later is edited from at least three separate items. I watched one of the earlier items and that bit was probably edited out. Possibly due to a complaint from a 'Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells' variety.
  11. Military model suppliers produce many etchings and other accessories that can be used for model railways and other modelling genres. Examples are spectacles and cutlery, most model railway figures have 20-20 vision and eat in the dining cars using their fingers. For 00 most 1/72 items are suitable and for N scale 1/144 can be used.
  12. It must be to do with 'Clapping for carers'>
  13. This company does etched items for HO cars. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HO-1-87-AutoMobilia-DE-7870601-Transkit-Triumph-TR-4-Detail-Parts-Wiking-/272358642211 They also do windscreen wipers in various sizes as well as aerials and mirrors.
  14. Scalelink make windsceen wiper etchings.
  15. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. I missed the bit about the 'tourist train' being like HST. I may be wrong but the stock looks as if its Mk. II stock. I see that they have 2+1 seating with tables. I hope the seats and tables are better than those I have experienced on Mk. I stock on a couple of preserved lines. The tables were fixed and extended to the width of the seats with a single support leg at the outer end. The problem was that the seats had a raised peice at the end five or six inches higher than the cushion. The gap between this end piece and the edge of the table is only a few inches which makes it for me difficult to get into the seats due to limited movement of my hip and leg joints. In service not all BR coaches had tables and some only half tables.
  16. There was an estate conversion of the saloons, more of a hatchback really. A few here:- http://www.anglia-models.co.uk/estate-friary01.htm?LMCL=pcqxb0 A few more here including an earlier 100E Prefect conversion. http://reallyloud.co.uk/2019/12/24/ford-and-vauxhall-cars-of-e-d-abbott/
  17. Any sort of curtain will stop the birds flying in.
  18. I saw that this morning. They described it as the UK's first ever 'Tourist train'. Really? I can think of a few others, Kyle of Lochalsh for instance, (and that was steam hauled).
  19. I had an Anglia 1200 'super' estate (PMY429F), That was only one colour, apparently the estates were not offered in two colours.
  20. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Not a bad night last night, until I rolled over and caught my sore ankle with my toe, ouch! Managed to get back to sleep, still a bit sore this morning but mostly just a terrible itch which despite the temptation I daren't scratch. Chris, Apparently there is a local pride parade going ahead here on September 5th. https://www.basildonpride.co.uk/ EDIT just found out its not going ahead after all, so its going virtual.
