  1. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Earlier this afternoon I spotted a couple of mushrooms growing in the garden. They're edible (shaggy inkcap) but I'm going to leave them until they're ready to spoor then I'll put them down in the wildlife corner. Tidied up the patio while I was out there, the weeds need no encouragement to grow. Muggatee now awaits, be back later.
  2. I had an FD Victor, the boot was enormous. The engine was very good when it was running properly and quite powerful. Although only 1600 cc the car was quite capable of a recorded 100 mph. It was a mechanics nightmare though, even changing the spark plugs was difficult.
  3. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Due to the prolonged eyelid inspection yesterday afternoon I didn't get to bed until gone one this morning. I went out like a light so Arthur Itis didn't bother me at all. The sun is shining so I'm thinking about the G word, whether that will turn into any action is debatable. Like ChrisF I find driving long distances tiring, an inevitable consequence of growing older. Way back, 1976 if I remember correctly I drove from Romford to Knutsford and back in a day spending several hours there. I certainly wouldn't have the stamina to make the journey even one way today.
  4. Not to worry, SV will still manage to crash on the first lap.
  5. They can manage quite well on their own.
  6. I'd go easy on the brussell sprouts if I were you.
  7. A reverse grid? If it favours Ferrari we get a reverse grid, if it doesn't we don't.
  8. I was going to say about 1965 going by the lack of Transit vans.
  9. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Over-run on the eyelid inspection this afternoon but Arthur Itis kept a lot quieter so I now I should be bright eyed and bushy tailed. https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us7000bjlf/dyfi/intensity I notice that someone felt it north of Chelmsford, or more likely someone had the necessary gear to record it. I looked up earthquake zones in Europe and most as you might expect were in the eastern Mediterranean but surprisingly one stretches almost to the English Channel. https://www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/comments/b8i58v/europe_earthquake_risk/
  10. I seem to recall that when a post was quoted images were shown as a link.
  11. Looks like a caboose without the lookout. Some sort of works car perhaps?
  12. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Poor nights sleep last night thanks to Arthur Itis going at it hammer and tongs. Just as well there's only a bit of shopping to do today. Did anyone notice the earthquake? https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/breaking-uk-earthquake-39-magnitude-22646662#source=push I didn't either but it was in the region of Slough so probably too far away. It was timed at 08:45 this morning.
  13. The Humber Sceptre and the minivan are looking a bit frilly around the sills.
  14. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Congratulations to Mrs. NHN on her trophy. I think that the page 10,000 celebration will have to be a virtual one but at least we will be socially distanced. Now to tackle Farcebook, be back later.
  15. A roundabout would be interesting.
  16. There's this one. https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/157039-bachmannefe-1938-tubestock/
  17. This could be embarrassing if they don't get their act together. https://www.gpfans.com/en/articles/56556/ferrari-to-celebrate-1-000th-grand-prix-with-unique-livery/
