All they now need is a competitive car for them to drive. https://www.gpfans.com/en/articles/57486/ferrari-announce-f1-debuts-for-schumacher-ilott-and-shwartzman/

Before I forget happy birthday to Mrs. Baz and Mrs. GDB. I'm glad I'm not with BT (but Virgin can be almost as bad).

Thanks for that, my example has also arrived but is still in its box as its intended as a Christmas present. Hopefully they will increase the range, how about a Transit van?

Morning all from Estuary-Land. A bit damp this morning and the wet weather is heading out to the North Sea. I'm nice and snug this morning, just drawing all the curtains made quite a difference. Now time to run a bath, be back later.

Goodnight all.

Should have gone to Specsavers.

Evening all from Estuary-Land. I normally just rely on the thermostat and don't bother with the timer on the heating. since I'm very rarely out for more than a day there's no reason to muck about with times. I've had a few friend requests from young ladies (ladies in the loosest sense of the word). There must be a gynaecologist somewhere with the same name as me and they get confused.

Pragmatic Pre-Grouping - Mikkel's Workbench
PhilJ W replied to Mikkel's topic in Kitbuilding & Scratchbuilding
I've started cutting up short lengths of scrap nickel silver rail (Peco code 100) to use as weight in rolling stock. Liquid Gravity uses tungsten. -
I feel a case of shed envy coming on. I've yet to fill mine but the old one has still got a lot of stuff in it.

The flickering lights could be due to the camera rather than the lights. -
Pragmatic Pre-Grouping - Mikkel's Workbench

I read somewhere that its a nickel alloy, here is a chart of the relative densities of different metals. The ideal metal for weight would be pure gold. The cheapest solution would be offcuts of nickel silver track. -
Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Being as I like to be warm I set my CH thermostat at 22 C. At the moment it is showing 25 C. despite it being only 19 C. outside. The reason being that the room is a perfect suntrap due to the patio doors facing due south. The front of the house is the opposite, the temperature in the hallway is only 20 C. and even in a heatwave it remains comfortably cool. You weren't tempted to ask for a wake up call at 2 AM then? The ride of the Valkyries at full volume would be my choice.

I agree with Jenny about the blue/grey livery. -

No need to say any more. But having said that Bachmann's other 'Thomas' coach, based (vaguely) on the Wisbech and Upwell coaches is not too bad. -
The poster seems to be aimed at our American cousins, say no more.

Morning all from Estuary-Land. I usually just rely on the thermostat to control my heating though the new controls enable me to set different temperatures according to the time of day so that means it can be set to turn the thermostat down overnight but turn it up about an hour before I get up. Polybear, I once had a Baxi back boiler and I agree that they were very good but nowadays parts are no longer available so if it fails as mine did thats it. The failure was in the heat exchanger which had cracked which meant that carbon monoxide was escaping, luckily I had a CM alarm. My new boiler is an evaporation boiler so there's no need for a water tank and living on my own is more suitable. I've noticed that the hot water is a lot hotter than with the old boiler which had replaced the Baxi so gas consumption should be down.

Goodnight all.

Now its disappeared again! (I got back here via notifications.)

What with ER's being missing from the list of posts for the last few days its now appearing twice.

Evening all from Estuary-Land. Continuing to be lazy this evening, dinner was a 'ping' meal, a Tesco's tandori chicken. The engineer who fitted my new boiler left the old one out for the metal faries, it had gone less than half an hour after he had.

Days when you know why you live in the British Isles

Thats the promenade, the shingle has been deposited by a storm. -
Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Lazy day today, done sod all all day. Do I care, no I do not. I've been having the same problem but touch wood it hasn't reared its ugly head today. One way I've found to get round it is to go into notifications and I can usually find my last post, I then scroll down to the blue line beneath which are the unread posts. Hopefully as I said there was no problem today so perhaps its been sorted. Q my house has identical tiles and I have about a dozen that I rescued when some of the neighbouring houses belonging to the housing association had their roofs replaced a couple of years ago.
