  1. I've noticed that the groans aren't counted towards popular post.
  2. Sixteen 'groans' so far. Is that a record?
  3. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. I also checked the map mentioned by Tony. My ward is quite low, in fact it is in the next category down from Tony's ward. However the adjacent ward, Corringham & Fobbing is in the high category. I also checked out areas where friends and family reside, nothing to worry about there either. Time to put the dinner on, be back later.
  4. Morning all from Estuary-Land. GDB's mentioning eye tests reminded me. My old reading glasses fell apart at the weekend. Just as well I got new ones a couple of months ago. I was only using them to watch TV for which they were better than the new glasses but I don't watch a lot of TV anyway. On the subject of face masks the Tess Coes at Pitsea is insisting on them being worn and most people are complying. Now to get on with the rest of the day, be back later.
  5. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Apart from the odd shower its been pretty dry today with plenty of sunshine. In fact there's very little cloud tonight so we can look forward to a chilly morning. Now to get on with Facebook which has been very slow lately.
  6. Here's one of Hamiltons records that might get broken soon. https://www.gpfans.com/en/articles/58498/hamilton-s-second-most-famous-record-russell-closes-in-on-negative-f1-landmark/
  7. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land.
  8. Jurgen Klopp is the current Liverpool manager. Here in the UK this last weekend the clocks were adjusted back one hour.
  9. Those same trains were subject to a lot of theft and vandalism back in the 80's. The favourite was stealing radios from the cars. One of the thieves came in contact with the overhead and the remains of the radio were found welded to his chest.
  10. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Weather is the same as in the land of Sutt. Not surprising as as the crow flies its not that far away. As has been said spiders are our friends and should be left alone to deal with the real villains such as flies and other disease carriers. I very rarely have to resort to fly spray, only for the odd wasp or hornet but I've never come across one of these. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/us-news/terrifying-murder-hornets-vacuumed-enormous-22905443#source=push not that I want to. On the subject of wildlife the shaggy inkcap mushrooms growing in the lawn disappeared quite quickly, I didn't see them go. However some more have sprung up a yard or so from where they were before, this time beneath the shrubbery. Muggatee awaits so its back later.
  11. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Do they let horses ride on buses?
