Evening all from Estuary-Land. All this talk of cake reminds me that I've a stollen cake in the cupboard. As yet I haven't been tempted enough to open the packet but my resistance is weakening. Time to put the kettle on, be back later.

Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Was down to Tess Coes and had a check to see if there is any other alternatives too cardboard turkey for that celebratory dinner. There was, fillet of duck or Ostrich steak. I think I'll stick to my intended venison. The biggest problem now is the habitat, or whats left of it. It will take several years to recover so the animals will have to be released gradually. Another thing about Kangaroo Island, the indigenous koalas are 'disease free' implying that other koala populations carry a (unnamed) disease.

Nice place to put a petrol tank, right above the exhaust manifold.

Also they keep to a specific track in each field as witnessed by the 'tramlines' guided by GPS.

The BSA cars had a similar arrangement.

Nearly forgot, there was an item this morning on BBC Breakfast about the koalas on Kangaroo Island. It is now a year since the devastating fires and they are now only just starting releasing the recovered animals back into the wild.

My dad was trained as a mechanic in the army though he never took up the trade in civvy street. He told me that to fit a new head gasket to a light 15 it was necessary to dismantle the gear change linkage as it ran on top of the engine.

I was going to say perhaps the operation wasn't successful but it looks OK to me.

Morning all from Estuary-Land. Persisting down earlier this morning but the wind has removed most of the clouds and a watery sun is trying to peep through. Flavio, making your cake store bear proof is OK but is it Hippo proof? Speaking of whom where has he gone? I fear he may be on a secret mission to Switzerland to free some captive cakes while his compatriot (Poly) stays behind to divert attention. Thats despite the danger of being licked to death by the four legged guardians of the cakes.

Well one will hopefully be departing soon.
