  1. Indeed, the annual re-enactment of the battle of the Somme has commenced here as well.
  2. On our payroll at work we had a Richard Head.
  3. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. I wasn't going out today until I found I was running out of bread and a visit to Tess Coes was required. It was dead quiet in there as well. Got the bread and a few other items and some mince pies. The mince pies were reduced despite a use by date of 22nd. December. There had been a pallet full of them dropped in the warehouse and the boxes were damaged but fortunately the contents were alright.
  4. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Speaking of the Kia driver who had difficulty reading the number plate reminded me of an incident many years ago when the M25 was being built. An elderly chap was creeping through the roadworks at about ten mph. In the tailback behind him was a police car so they pulled him over. It turned out the driver was registered blind and even had his white stick in the car with him! Muggatee to be drunk, be back later.
  5. That looks nasty. Going by the bent rail it looks like a derailment. Hope no one was hurt, or worse.
  6. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Sounds like the battle of the Somme outside this evening. Perhaps they're letting the fireworks off before lockdown starts. Mention of tea reminded me to re-order for C*******s which I now have done so. Thats all for now, be back later.
  7. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Decisions, decisions, what to have for dinner tonight, use by date bingo again. A prime case of if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.
  8. Morning all from Estuary-Land. I forgot about the presidential election and switched on expecting the normal news and weather. I see however that the ignorant orange clown is already calling foul now that its becoming more obvious that he's losing. On to better things, missing the weather forecast is not a problem as there's not a cloud in the sky neither is there much wind but its only 3C. We still haven't heard recently from HH, I hope all is well, even use of the magic word cake hasn't brought him out.
