  1. What this race has shown is that there is plenty of driving talent out there but in Hamilton's shadow.
  2. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Mention of advent calendars reminded me that I had one that I hadn't started. A Tolberone one, where each compartment holds a miniature Tolberone bar. I normally don't bother with such things but Tess Coes had a few where the corners of the triangular box had been damaged so they sold them off at £2 instead of the usual £8, its now up to date. I found that underneath the Artexed ceiling of the hallway (that was made from the original open porch) someone had used cardboard boxes flattened out instead of plasterboard. I discovered that when the flat roof sprung a leak and it all sagged. A bit at one end that was an entrance lobby with a proper plastered ceiling they had Artexed over old distemper paint and most of it came away with the distemper. A proper plasterboard ceiling is now in place.
  3. I just had to Google "Over 80's Nudist Leapfrog Team". Alas they are no more due to shrinking members after an ice bucket challenge.
  4. Morning all from Estuary-Land. A bit foggy here first thing but its showing signs of lifting. A bit of ice on the car but that should be gone by the time I go out, if I go out. Tea awaits so its be back later.
  5. If they injected two brain cells each their intelligence would triple.
  6. George will keep his points. https://www.gpfans.com/en/articles/60116/stewards-allow-russell-to-keep-his-first-f1-points-despite-mercedes-pit-stop-calamity/
  7. Evening all from Estuary-Land. No spuds or other carbohydrates with tonights dinner, just a double portion of green veg. I knew I'd forgotten something when I went shopping. And to cap it all once I had placed everything on the plate I gave the dinner a bout of microwaves to make sure it was hot. Then there was a loud crack from the microwave, the plate had split in two. I had to transfer the meal to another plate, the original plate seems to have had a crack for some time but not noticed.
  8. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Popped down to Tess Coes for a few bits and found in the magazine section a bookazine on the Col. Stevens light railways. This was duly purchased and will be studied over the next few days. Now to check the use by dates to find out whats for dinner.
  9. Off to a good start? https://www.gpfans.com/en/articles/60095/verstappen-and-leclerc-strike-disaster-on-lap-one-in-sakhir-gp/
  10. My job before I retired was very stressful and I expected my BP to go down after I retired but they stayed the same.
