  1. Depends on how much curry powder you use.
  2. I need a few coaches to go with my Oxford rail gun. With the Model Rail class 11 due out soon all I need will be the special ammo wagon.
  3. Soon be plenty of four and six wheel stock to choose from.
  4. Hattons 4 wheel brake third has GER written all over it.
  5. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Took a trip to Tess Coes to stock up, got enough now for the next week. No queue's and no crowding so it didn't take to long. Lack of sleep due to the sore foot is beginning to catch up on me so a bit of eyelid inspection will be called for soon.
  6. Good to see a bit of variety, many companies, even the big four ran trains with a mixed bag of stock with odd features.
  7. I suspect that the intention was to produce some Stroudley coaches when Hattons announced their range of generic coaches. This would most likely have affected sales of the Hornby coaches so a decision was made to turn them into generic.
  8. Hello again from Estuary-Land. RMweb is dead slow now and its easy to see why, the Hornby 2021 announcements are generating plenty of froth especially in Liverpool. Had a look in myself and there's quite a few surprises as well as the one alluded too. Thanks, I have discovered that spicy food does cause a flare up so the salami purchased for Christmas is still in its wrapper and will remain so for a while.
  9. There's a surprise. Probably more livery applications than the 44DS as well.
  10. I would like to see them side by side with the Hattons coaches to see if I can spot the differences. For myself I am looking for some stock to run with the Oxford railway gun so I will probably select examples from both Hornby and Hattons and repaint them.
  11. Morning all from Estuary-Land. The sore foot has kept me up most of the night, managed to get a couple of hours sleep first thing and followed by some cat-naps. Weather is not very promising with wintery showers predicted but its dry at the moment. Time to run a bath, be back later.
  12. Didn't a certain HRH write off a Queens Flight 146 with a heavy landing?
  13. The same with AEC after Leyland took them over. A prime site in Southall deliberately run down so that it could be sold off. Then they tried telling their customers what they can have instead of what they wanted. No wonder they went bust.
  14. I've several boxes full of old diecasts intended for code 3's. If your on Facebook look up 'Code 3 models', plenty of ideas there.
  15. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Bank statement arrived this morning and the refund I was looking for was there. I can't help wondering how many don't check their bank statements and end up losing a lot of money to these shysters. The fact that they refunded it without demur makes me suspect that its a bit dodgy and they don't want to draw attention to themselves.
  16. I could only see the roofs on Google Earth though there appears to be a couple of flat/open wagons nearby.
  17. I didn't realise that the Bae146 was still in service with the RAF until I saw the one used to carry the BREXIT agreement from Brussels on the news. They barely get a mention despite being one of the most successful British airliners ever. I've got a bookazine on them that includes some proposed military versions. One with a raised rear end to accommodate a loading ramp and that one was converted to as a none flying demonstrator. Best of all there was a version being worked upon for the US Navy (with Lockheed) that was equipped with the necessary gear to operate from aircraft carriers. Alas 9/11 put an end to production but not before it became the most successful British airliner ever in terms of numbers sold.
  18. Had a look on Google Earth and there appears to be a rake of seven vans present.
  19. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Here you are Simon. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-55531589 I would suggest taking them to the Covid ward and showing them around. Then quarantine them for fourteen days, under lock and key.
  20. A rebuilt but based on one that was not rebuilt. If the rebuild program had continued to include all of the Bullied pacifics a Caprotti one would have almost certainly have been tried. It might be worth looking in the records to see if one was planned.
  21. Boeing 747's have only just ceased production and the first was rolled out fifty years ago.
  22. The date is 04/2011, it had gone by 10/10/2018.
  23. There is one that is a regular visitor to the Thames although converted to a yacht.
