  1. Evening all from Estuary-Land. The new shower hose is a bit longer than the old one by about two feet and nearly touches the bottom of the bath. The old one will be left out for the metal faries tomorrow but I'll remove the shower head and keep it as a spare. Time to put the kettle on, be back later.
  2. Better than getting a Sidewinder.
  3. I have ordered one just recently but I have a feeling that I may have ordered one when they were first announced.
  4. Is it a dent? It might be a reflection like on the other side panels.
  5. More Covidiots:- https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/four-rescued-snowy-mountain-after-23293656 Perhaps we could start a new thread 'Covidiots'.
  6. I've found the problem with fitting the new shower hose. I went to move the packaging and out dropped a couple of washers. Insertion of said washers and everything went together perfectly. Even the new shower head clips onto the holder.
  7. I found this a couple of years ago when I ordered an 'exclusive' Oxford Diecast model. It was delivered promptly but had a fault which I was able to deal with without the need to send it back.
  8. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. I have done very little since this morning except the aforementioned bath followed by eyelid inspection and then brunch. I had put the old shower hose back temporarily and tried to fit the new one just now and found that it wouldn't screw in beneath the taps. An inspection revealed that the threads were clogged with limescale so they're soaking in the limescale remover. The old hose screwed back easily but the threads on that are worn and corroded and thats why it leaked. Thats it for now, be back later.
  9. Morning all from Estuary-Land. The rains stopped now but not before it woke up Arthur Itis and the sore foot. Still managed to get a few hours sleep despite those distractions. Will be having a long hot soak in the bath soon, that should keep Arthur and the foot quiet.
  10. There's room in the 48DS for a stay alive so it shouldn't be a problem.
  11. Here's a groan button. (just cut and paste).
  12. Sorry, it wasn't in Wheeltappers but in another topic.
  13. I didn't realise that they were in stock until just now. I've just ordered one , pre-1936 SR livery.
  14. Its still there, I only discovered it myself a couple of weeks ago. It appears on my listing as I've set it up for threads that I've posted in. To find it again I would suggest going into topics/wheeltappers where it will be listed. When you get in just make sure that you click the 'follow' button.
  15. This appeared on the wacky signs thread. Any suggestions as to how this process could be done?
  16. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Had a test fit of the new shower hose, everything OK except the new shower head that I also bought. The problem is that the old shower head is a completely different shape. It came with its own wall fixture that is fixed to the wall about four feet above the bath. The new shower head will not fit in the fixture, its too wide at the base. Tomorrow I will have to refit the old shower head which at present is soaking in limescale remover. Its now persisting down outside and more than a bit breezy but the forecast says it will be gone by morning. Time to put the kettle on, be back later.
  17. Not any old bike either, that looks like a Chopper to me.
  18. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Went to Tess Coes today. As well as the groceries I had to buy a new hose and head for the shower, should be a simple job to do. Managed to forget a couple of items but they were not essentials so no worries. Tea is poured so I'll be back later.
  19. When you think of it from a model manufacturers point of view a generic Victorian/Edwardian coach is the only way to go given the plethora of railway companies at the time each with their own style. It wouldn't surprise me if a third manufacturer threw their hat into the ring.
  20. Morning all from Estuary-Land. The foot is getting better but very slowly but at least it was little trouble last night. This morning though it was a bit sore but seems OK now. Will have to go to Tess Coes for supplies as I am almost out of milk and bread. Tea is brewing so be back later.
  21. Evening all from Estuary-Land. If there's a pile of old books for sale I generally give them a look and from time I come across a gem about some obscure line that I never knew existed.
