  1. Pity he hasn't offered them up as separate items. I for one would go for the Cowan Sheldon crane.
  2. Oops, nearly forgot, best wishes to Dave's dad and Gordon.
  3. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Arthur Itis was banging away again this morning but a bit of exercise and a brace of Nurofen is sorting him out. Trouble is if you leave them there they might breed.
  4. Evening all from Estuary-Land. You all better don a tin hat when you go to bed tonight. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/chinese-rocket-live-tracker-latest-24067915#source=push Admittedly its estimated that it will come down into the Pacific off of New Zealand.
  5. Go to sleep wearing a tin hat tonight? https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/chinese-rocket-live-tracker-latest-24067915#source=push
  6. I've just been reading the current edition (May) of Railway Magazine. There is a paragraph in there (page 8) saying that cracks appearing on GWR class 800's are being investigated. The news was released just as RM went to press (about 3 weeks ago)
  7. Mazepin https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-news/64714/mazepin-could-have-done-more-to-avoid-q1-blocking-norris/
  8. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. The wetness this morning has gone but its still blowing a hoolie. The California lilac is ready for the bees but they must still be shivering in their hives. Went to Tess Coes earlier for bread and milk. In the toilets they have installed combined soap, water dispensers incorporating a hand drier. I used one and it barely dispensed enough water to wash your hands let alone rinse them and the hand dryer only operated for a couple of seconds at best so I had to grab a paper towel from one of the sanitisation stations to dry my hands. time to put the kettle on. be back later.
  9. He's got plenty like that.
  10. That must be pretty serious to take the whole fleet out of service all of a sudden.
  11. Looks to short to be a hearse, its usual to extend the rear overhang when doing a hearse conversion. More likely a one off custom conversion.
  12. Oops, nearly forgot. I always understood that Valerian was captured by the Persians and their king Shapur used him as a living footstool. When Valerian died he was stuffed and mounted and continued to be used as a footstall.
  13. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Arthur Itis was doing his rain dance this morning but the Nurofen has been deployed. We still have a scrappie who rings a bell as he drives his truck around the estate. Problem is by the time I hear the bell and get to the front door he's disappearing down the road. Now to run a bath, be back later.
  14. It must be a serious fault to ground the entire fleet. Watching the news which is not good.
  15. That means its been reported and removed by the mods.
  16. Evening all from Estuary-Land. No trouble from Arthur Itis or Si Attica but the eczema is driving me mad by itching so suitable lotion has been applied. Thoughts are with Dave's dad and with any other ER's who are ailing.
  17. Click on edit, delete what is written then type duplicate. Click on the three dots top right and it comes up 'report'. Click on that and then on the duplicate post option.
  18. I can take or leave whisky but as I'm now virtually teetotal I've almost forgotten what it tastes like.
  19. Could be a number of reasons such as easier replacement in case of damage. Replacement glass for a 37 must be easier to fit than that for a Deltic.
  20. The idea of the lines is they must be vertical* so I don't think the snowflakes are effective. *The birds see the lines and think the gap is too narrow for them to fly through. Only vertical lines work in this case.
  21. A lot like the Australian LDC type illustrated a couple of pages back. The LDC was tested on the British main line with standard gauge bogies.
