  1. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Where is everyone? only two posts in five hours which is rather unusual for ER's. I splashed out 159 modelling tokens on a new TV earlier, same size as the old one, anything bigger and the box wouldn't fit in the car. It seems to be a very popular model, there was about four on the shelves when I went into the store but when I went back after doing a bit of shopping only one was left! so I grabbed it quick. One feature it has is a built in CD player. Time to put the kettle on, be back later.
  2. Rosberg's take on that collision. https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-news/67803/rosberg-delivers-hamilton-verstappen-crash-verdict/
  3. Part of the problem was a very heavy water-cooled straight six hanging out the back. More to do with the swing axle rear suspension.
  4. As @Northmoor said it would be better to use the M25. The worst of the traffic on the M25 is around the Dartford crossing and up to the M1. A lot will also depend on the time you are travelling and the day of the week.
  5. The one at Mangapps is ex-GER IIRC.
  6. Morning all from Estuary-Land. TV back on scanning this morning, definitely time to get a new one. No doubt once I have a new set I will find the currently missing one for the old set. I do not have a mobile as I don't need one. However my car has Bluetooth but of course its never been used. They must make a nice snack for a bear.
  7. I've also seen a green 2CV but as Oxford make that model it might not be worth stocking them. Would you consider stocking some of the Universal Hobbies key rings? Three of their vintage tractors are exactly or near to 00 scale and some of the trailers although of a smaller scale (1/96) sit comfortably with 00 scale models.
  8. There was a drawing as I recall. Perhaps Hornby could be prevailed upon to turn some out.
  9. The problem is not so much the foxes but the kebab shop about a quarter of a mile away. Very few of the kebab shop customers bother with litter bins and the discarded wrappers attract the foxes.
  10. The successors to the Mk. IV's were far better. I hankered after the Consul GT, no frills and a breathed on 3 litre V6.
  11. Railway Magazine are the ones for April fool's jokes. I was taken in a few years ago with an article claiming that there had been a proposal for the four Peppercorn A2's named after pre-grouping constituent companies would receive the liveries of those companies, Great Central, Great Eastern, Great Northern and North Eastern. An A2 in Royal Blue and with a white cab roof has a certain appeal.
  12. I've been looking at them on E-bay, the same model has been described as of being 1/64 and 1/87, very confusing.
  13. I do believe this is the one at Mangapps.
  14. Evening all from Estuary-Land. The foxes around here must be starving, there was very little for them in the bin bag, all that they pulled out was the wrappers for some cooked meat. This evening there was a clattering outside on the patio. Some timbers that had been leaning against the wall were scattered over the patio, the fox had been after the slugs and other insects hiding in the timbers. Tea is brewing, be back later.
  15. The line up was, Zephyr no grill, 2 litre V4. Zephyr with grill and single headlamps 2.5 litre V6 and Zodiac with grill and double headlamps with the 3 litre V6.
  16. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. A bit cooler than it has been lately but not much, only a degree down on yesterday but at 22C its still pretty warm. The remaining poppies have now flowered and the honeysuckle is well on the way. There seems to be fewer spiders around this year, perhaps its too hot for them as well.
  17. Hello again from Estuary-Land. Managed to repack the black bag and set it out before the bin men arrived so's all well there then. You'd have been out by now if you'd committed murder. Happy ruby anniversary to both of you.
  18. The German and British V4's were two entirely different engines. Saab used the German V4 which was the better of the two engines.
