  1. We still make vans Vauxhall/Renault/Nissan, all the same van with a choice of badges.
  2. The picture comes up ok but the slider and the arrow are frozen.
  3. Is the cowcatcher on the back for the cows to throw themselves on when they catch up with it?
  4. For some reason the link comes up ok but it will not roll down.
  5. The earliest 25" OS maps even used to show the internal layout of public buildings. I remember seeing an extraction from such a map in a book showing Strangeways prison in Manchester, each individual cell was shown. I can't remember if the railway line shown alongside the prison was treated in the same way.
  6. An interesting story about the WC&P track. The rails were supplied by Krupps. When they were lifted the steel was used for bomb cases and its possible some of those bombs were dropped on Krupp's works.
  7. Neither is anyone else by the looks of it.
  8. There were several very good (non-GWR) 4-6-0's about, the GER '1500' (B12) for example. There are many different factors in the design of a locomotive the principle of which id the type of work and the road on which it is expected to work.
  9. It's a Ford Thames not a Trader. The Trader was forward control and only introduced in the late 50's as a replacement for the Ford Thames.
  10. This is the Oxford display at the Nuremberg toy fair >> http://www.auto-und-modell.de/pages/aktuell/1173/Spielwarenmesse-2013-Oxford-Diecast/ I've noticed that the Scania horsebox has a different cab to the usual Oxford Scania trucks. It has the smaller/lower 'P' cab and the day cab version to boot. This cab is usually used by the smaller trucks in the Scania range such as tippers. It is usually also used in double cab form for fire engines. Apart from the height they can be distinguished from the 'R' cab by the door handles being closer to the top of the front wings.
  11. And plenty of woolies. He's hiding from Tescos.
  12. If thats anywhere near Doncaster they'll never get the layout up.
  13. Don't forget your passports/visas before you enter the Peoples Republic of Yorkshire.
  14. They are not axle-boxes but dust covers to prevent the ingress of dirt to the bearings. I am not sure about the others but they are correct for the NCB loco, coal dust would play havoc with the bearings.
  15. They look like paper labels so should be easy to remove.
  16. I found this on flickr >> http://www.flickr.com/photos/29080235@N08/7873434098/in/photostream There are several shots of this crane in action. This could be converted from the trailer in the Matchbox/Revell tank transporter kit.
  17. A lot of information on OS maps is or was supplied by local authorities. Some were better than others in supplying that information. Also a few years ago the OS found that another mapmaker was copying their maps illegally (without paying royalties) and they successfully prosecuted that company, which was Bartholemew.
  18. Some more new releases are shown on the Facebook site. Sorry I can't get the link to work (You have to be a Facebook member to see it anyway.)
  19. The model event on the 13/14th of April at the Acton Museum Depot seems to have disappeared from the museum website?
  20. There is also the Bachmann Scenecraft one catalogue no. 44-097.
