  1. But what about the ladies, especially since the communists lost control in Russia? (Though I had some doubts about some of the Western players.)
  2. I had to Google it as well, it not only came up with the item concerned but wedding dresses and exercise machines as well.
  3. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Commiserations to all those feeling a bit under the weather this morning. Bright and sunny here at the moment but dark threatening clouds appear to be coming this way. I remembered to weigh myself this morning, the first time for about 3 weeks, not as bad as I feared, I have lost more weight than I expected but still a long way to go.
  4. Off to bed shortly, goodnight all.
  5. Cararama also do the Range Rover in 'Battenburg' livery, this and the Volvo V70 are slightly smaller than 1/72, about 1/74. The Range Rover is also right hand drive and the Volvo is screwed together like the Oxford models so should be easy to modify.
  6. Yes, congratulations Ernie. Although I don't recall seeing anything and as it appears to be at least three ER pages ago I don't think I'll be able to find it now.
  7. The original 87 route had been merged with the 5 route, Canning Town to Barking.
  8. Just shows how ridiculous the censorship software is which is a joke in itself. The word can be found in the dictionary and I even have a couple of reference books with it in the title.
  9. Morning from a chilly Estuary-Land. Not much doing today so just another mug of tea and sit down with a book.
  10. Don't you mean a spare box and an empty head.
  11. Definitely looking colder out there so off to bed as well.
  12. Doesn't the 87 run from Barking to Romford any more? (I think it may be 82).
  13. Evening all, cold outside and appears as if its already starting to freeze so no venturing out for me tonight not that I have any need too. On the subject of driving on snow or ice its high gear/low revs that is the order of the day, its torque even more than speed that causes wheel-slip and skids so a higher gear is preferable, it also means that if you need to slow down you can use the gears without resorting to the brakes.
  14. I wish someone would explain it as the censorship has struck again.
  15. I hope to bag one of these, or maybe two so that I have an extra coach. I do have one of the old Ratio 'Victorian coach' kits to make up a rake. Any pics yet?
  16. Sun is now shinning in Estuary-Land, but still snow on the car, my drive is in the shade all the time this time of year anyway.
  17. Morning from a cold and slightly snowy Estuary-Land. I rarely venture out before 12 anyway and this morning I'm expecting someone to come round and measure up for the loft ladder.
  18. No snow fortunately but heavy hail and rain. Shedman, if your in Florida you should read Carl Hiasson, another Tom Sharpe in my opinion.
  19. Morning from a cold and frosty Estuary-Land. Kettles on, bread in toaster.
  20. Should re-think the name of this cafe >> http://www.metro.co.uk/2015/01/28/is-this-new-cafes-choice-of-logo-unfortunate-or-inspired-5040179/
  21. Looks as if they gave it to a two year old with some pots of paint.
  22. The trader isn't G***d by any chance?
  23. I have just received a copy of 'English and Australian Small Fords' written by Bill Boddy. A fascinating read and some interesting variations on the side valve small Fords. My particular favourites are the Australian model 'C' Ute roadster and the experimental 100E Anglia beach buggy with the roof removed, the doors welded shut and the sides cut down in a U shape for entrance/egress.
  24. Its lucam, as in missing lord? Thanks all.
