  1. You can get it online as well http://www.cricket-365.net/watch-willow-cricket-live.html
  2. As predicted it hissed down this afternoon and more predicted for tomorrow. It has softened the Essex clay however so it looks as if I can get on with the hard landscaping. Another fly tipper has 'gifted' something I can use, a chunk of carpet underlay 2X5 metres which will do nicely as a membrane beneath the stone gravel.
  3. I had a Reliant Robin van registered in 1977 with white on black numberplates. It had an 'S' registration and only two numbers, the S was often taken as a 5 so it looked like a pre year letter registration.
  4. Morning all from a sunny Estuary-Land. According to the forecast though its not going to last. Off to brave Tesco's later, they have a special offer on decorative stone but I'm making a few trips to get it as I don't want to overload the car, I need about 12 bags in my estimation so thats at least 3 trips. Not too onerous as I shop there four or five times a week. Bye for now, be back later.
  5. London Transport had a special dispensation to carry on using the black and white plates on their buses. I'm not sure of why but the fact that they were brightly lit may have been a reason or as at that time LT produced most things 'in house' and didn't have the facilities to produce reflective plates. IIRC if they were sold out of service the number plates had to be changed.
  6. It is on a ferry and to me it looks very much like one of the three vessels operating out of Harwich. The Essex Ferry, Suffolk Ferry or the Norfolk Ferry.
  7. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Happy birthday Tony and many more of them. Best wishes to Debs hope all the ologists do their thing. It will be very interesting to find out who will be the chosen scapegoat once we are out of the EU but no doubt 'EU regulations' will still be an excuse for petty officialdom for years to come. Thats it for now, be back later.
  8. You could with one of these. http://www.toolandfix.com/silverline-794340-flexi-drill-drive-shaft-1070mm.html
  9. Obviously I won't be using all of the numbers, they will be allocated to different sections in blocks for example 501-1000 RL might be reserved for buses and coaches and the next block of numbers to the van hire department. The only group of numbers that will be allocated to any section will be 1-99 RL these will be allocated to 'one offs' such as historic vehicles and the wedding car fleet and of course the bosses Bentley Muslanne will carry 1 RL.
  10. Drilling into a lithium battery is not a good idea.
  11. I hadn't realy taken any notice so I just had to take a look. All I can say is they are not ticklish. (That is if you got the same clips.)
  12. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Nice to hear from Debs again. A warning about the dangers of putting ones feet on a car dashboard, be warned its a bit graphic towards the end. The injuries from such accidents can be horrendous, one teenage girl in the states ended up with one leg going between the seat and the door pillar and the other smashing into her face and chest resulting in the amputation of both legs as well as severe facial and abdominal injuries.
  13. They are legal as long as they were fitted as original equipment or prior too the introduction of the relevent legislation.
  14. Its been my habit not only to switch off power tools at the socket when not in use and also to remove the plug from the socket.
  15. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. It took all of fifteen minutes to tackle the shrubs in the garden even though I had to use the loppers to cut back some of the thicker branches, it then took more than twice as long to clear up. I've always been wary of power tools especially those attached to the mains but any tool is dangerous if not used properly or without due care.
  16. Morning all from Estuary-Land. A good day for gardening, I have a few things I can do if I can get up enough mojo so it will be a bit of hedge and shrub trimming, if I feel like it so I've put the trimmer on charge. The new fence is doing what I hoped it would do. The house is on a corner plot and the prevailing wind tended to pick up litter and deposit it in my front garden. The fence acts as a barrier effectively pushing the airflow towards the road. Thats it for now, be back later.
  17. Very sorry to hear of your friends death Duncan, 34 is no age at all. Polly's pics of the stones reminded me of a 'collection' of stones that I have from a long demolished rockery. They are of a rather hard sandstone shaped by running water and a few are quite large, up to about ten inches. Best of all they were 'free', recovered from a pile of fly tipped rubble 80% of which was these stones. Only a few left now though but they are available free to a good home. Just watched 'All aboard! the country bus.' on I-player, quite interesting and spotted a few things worth modelling. Thats it for tonight, time for bed, goodnight all.
  18. Just watched it on I-player, got a few modelling ideas from it as well.
  19. Morning all from Estuary-Land. RMweb was down for about two hours last night so to avoid withdrawal symptoms I caught up on some things on Facebook. When doing so I came across a clip of a very talented young lady playing the accordian so its on my timeline, and there is also an ahhhhh pic of a dog that rescued a kitten from a burning house. I also note that Debs is on her way via the Channel Tunnel but no doubt she will be keeping an eye on those ER's who tend to stray.
