  1. Morning all from Estuary-Land. A quick hello this morning as I'm off out to the Romford exhibition soon.
  2. Here http://www.stobartclubandshop.co.uk/collections/world-of-stobart They only have 15 of the 30 or so w-o-s models listed though. EDIT They have a couple of the w-o-s models not included above on their general list. Click on menu then click on models.
  3. The van used a lot of the Anglia panels, including the complete rear doors. Many other panels such as van and estate rear wheel arches and the estate tailgate hinges and inner frame were also pure Anglia. The Mk. II Escort saloons under the skin were identical to the Mk. I.
  4. I too can see the dead hand of political interfearance. It is so blatant that even those who are anti trade union can see it.
  5. Morning again from Estuary-Land. Now scrubbed and polished I can get on with things. Pete, some of these spammers are so obvious, I have received a couple of e-mails about my order for a Louis Viutton handbag! The e-mails are coming from Brazil apparently. Thoughts are with Debs.
  6. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Looks as if its going to be fine if a bit chilly today. A hot bath awaits so be back later.
  7. Thoughts are with you Debs.
  8. A similar thing happened when Tata took over Jaguar/Land Rover.
  9. He's probably writing a post on the bullhead rail thread.
  10. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Just picked up the December edition of Railway Modeller to see Jamie's layout, Lancaster Green Ayre in there. There is also a free Metcalf coal office kit with the magazine, I might put it together this weekend. This weekend is the Romford show, I now have a car full to take to the show.
  11. If you look closely you will see that the back of the tipper body is lower than the sides at the bottom, this suggests that the bottom is V shaped. If it was a simple box part of the load would surely get trapped in the corners.
  12. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Still waiting to hear the bin lorries dawn chorus, it seems that they must alternate the round each week and start at the other end. It was turning a bit frosty last night when I put the bin bags out, clear sky and brilliant moon. A bit warmer this morning but a bit of wetness predicted. Thats it for now, be back later.
  13. And where does America come on the list?
  14. Probably because traffic generally moves at a much faster pace and theres a lot more of it.
  15. I once took a journey on the BP on a school trip. What had happened was our booked train had failed and the only available service was the BP. Needless to say we oiks (about 30 of us IIRC aged 11 to 13) made the most of it with the free coffee and tea. Problem was that most of the tea and coffee ended up in the saucers due to the rough ride. The school trip was to Stratford-on Avon, I can't now, about 55 years later recall which Pullman service it was or where we travelled from except that it took us past S-o-A before we had to change over to a DMU to take us to our destination.
  16. Morning all from Estuary-Land. A bit late this morning due to a long soak in the bath. Done the 'big shop' at Tesco's yesterday, amongst the vouchers was 25 extra points for dental care products. I discovered a toothbrush in the 'to clear' bins for 20p so I gave it a try, and the voucher was accepted.
  17. That is one fitted with an archimedes screw as I mentioned earlier.
  18. Japanese employment practices contributed to that accident. The driver had been harangued by one of the managers over what in this country would be considered a minor infringement which had left him highly stressed. In this country such treatment of an employee would undoubtedly result in industrial action.
  19. If someone leaves an old banger on your property surely that counts as fly tipping? I'm quite sure the metal faries would take it no questions asked.
