Acording to WNXX.COM 56113 (Ex Coal Sector colour / Transrail / Large logo / EWS / Fertis) is now in Colas Rail Colours.

The 70/8 series has probably been chosen because the Colas Railfreight Class 66s are numbered in the 66/8 series. This means the nine other new build Class 70s for Colas may be numbered 70802 to 70810.

I like Jims pictures as it reminded me that I did see 37520 at Crewe but never took a picture of it.

Here's one for the history books, It's not the two 67's (67026 and 67029) but it's what is behind them, and I don't mean the wagons. 10 Class 60's and 2 Euro Cargo Rail Class 08's

Here's my contribution. 67029 was used to haul 2 60's from Crewe Diesel depot and a 66 from repair at Longport in Stoke. 3 different classes of loco in one pic. Fertis 56 EWS Grey 60 and DBS 67.

Been watching this thread with much interest when I saw this passing through Sandbach station on the Northampton Castle Yard to Guide Bridge B'sde Sidings. Didn't get the number but nice to see it.

Here's three of the IHA type wagon you can buy Roco's Version Piko's Version Marklin's Version All of these wagons are HO scale, I think in Model Rail a few years ago, It showed you how to make a OO scale version and it had the scale plans too. I still have it and I can make a copy of it and e-mail it to you if you want it. Send me a PM and i'll find it for you. I made this yesterday while waiting for the postman to call. (More BCA cradles) Fleischmann log wagon before "conversion" Ends from a Shimmns steel wagon. Extra support bar needed in the middle. The end of a proper log wagon. mine might have the ends angled, not sure, might leave it as is. Ends attatched to wagon, next is to add additional stations. Coupled up to a Colas 56, seems to be of right height for it, even though it is HO scale Next task is to paint it blue, What blue is it??

How about these wagons for use as the new blue wagons, They would need ends on but after a re-paint into blue, you would get away with it. These are made by fleischmann code number 5288 Some of the 83-84 3523 wagons have 8 stations and some have 4, moving the stations will work and you would only need to add 4 on each side. Hopefully someone will do the roverbox wagons and that would make a great platform for making more timber wagons. Mathew

Hi Nick, The cradles are from Genesis kits and very easy to make, I glued them to fix them or you can solder them if your brave. (My last attempt was a disaster, melted it, so haven't tried again) The cradles need to be sanded down and test fitted before making, It's a long job but well worth it in the long run. The hardest part is the wagon itself, the deck needs to be sanded or hacked till it's smooth then half of the deck need cutting out, as the proper deck has large areas cut out to aid in the cooling of the coils. The wagon isn't finished as I've got to add the electronic flashes to the cradles and add wagon numbers to the sides. New tops codes to be made and then make another 5-7 for a good rake of them.

Hi, I finally painted the cradles at last, The wagon needed a bit more work on it to finish the deck of it off, more sanded needed to flatten, once that was done I painted the cradle, I used a rust colour for them as most of the ones I've seen at Cardiff were rusted with the outline of the coil on the outside. I've not added the centre divider on the cradles over the bogies as I'm adding long coils for this wagon. I've got a bit more work of the wagon with adding new tops codes and numbers, plus adding the numbers to the cradles and adding electric flashes. It's not a perfect copy but it does look the part and once I've added coils and seen it behind a 66 or 60 then I've done a good job

66849 on the northbound logs last night passed Sandbach at 2302. Wasn't in too much of a rush to Carlisle.

Perhaps this Ebay idiot must known that if he sells this as kit built and it does go wrong then he can supply you with the relevant spare parts otherwise he is committing a trade description offence. If he has personally built that together by himself them can claim it as kit built, if it was made somewhere else then it is not kit built more likely merely a re-paint loco. (I did ask my neighbour who is a lawyer and he is breaking the law by false descriptions)

Those hoppers are 33-70 9382 Uafoos. I believe Bachmann are releasing the hoppers soon althought not this version, the ones Bachmann are doing are the earlier version. These are the later build which has a different roof and other bits which might make converting the ones Bachmann are doing very difficult. The working was a one off as far as I'm aware it was GBRf 66740 on a 6M67 Working into Peak Forest with 14 Polybulk wagons. (Lackenby to Peak Forest to Mossend.)
