All the warehouses have now been bedded in and the small gap filled with security fencing and foliage.
-
The last warehouse has now been painted and weathered. This completes the main structures on the layout.

Bonjour, Mon Ami. Votre layout est tres bien! Look forward to seeing more. 37033 looks and sounds great. Mal ps Mon nouveau layout est aussi dans Glasgow - Deanside Transit. (see below) I hope to run some 37s from the 1980s.

Econami UK Decoders - cab lighting function
Alcanman replied to Johnfromoz's topic in DCC Help & Questions
I'm not familiar with Soundtraxx Econami UK decoders but have used Soundtraxx Tsunami US decoders and they don't have cab lighting. I suspect Econami don't have cab lighting, but I may be wrong. -
Thanks for the info regarding the bridges. I wish I'd done a bit more research earlier in the planning stage. However, it's good to know that the head-shunt runs under the bridge. The warehouse has now been extended using a few bits and bobs from the scrap-box. I think it looks better, now measuring 31ins long.

A little more progress at Deanside. The road over-bridge has been built using Wills sheets and vari-girder. A coat of paint has been added and I'll weather the structure later.

There was what looks like a bit of an inglenook going on here when I took this pic at Bates Colliery, Blyth, Northumberland in 1968.

No problem, Martin. Here is another pic, taken from a different viewpoint on the same day. 8th Feb 1981. -

Good to see the progress you are making with funding for the restoration project. I've bought a few items from you myself, value for money and always good service. It's been a long time since I saw 37003. Sunderland South Dock 1981. Mal -
That Lorry (I almost said 'truck') is a beast, Jordan. A bit too big for the layout perhaps!

There were originally four 08s owned by Russells all maintained under contract by BR. The last pic I can find is this one, 08447 in a striking lilac livery. https://www.flickr.com/photos/turners_pics/7841156770/in/photolist-V4MXYg-5ABJgP-W2d65Z-MkdR5J-29HSocT-dLW8MU-9ne6R7-apDobD-59wEv9-fE8G8v-UdqmBf-fYfmBa-e9Le9F-aBxpKR-21DFYUZ-21EoZz9-4gekY5-kojTAR-UFFnF9-dKPKSX-Sdopix-rUSWDg-6FH6Qx-cWTYJ7-e2sAk7-iUSXs8-XJuWd5-gcXiJz-aM5sMK-nUa58F-dDWFX8-fdptoH-qHWXzo-mMzij6-78nRG3-ddFVbW-rdjDng-JBiEaq-nuzCtH-9pP1q7-85FWCx-7YXRGd-5iteys-uKYaov-cjFc2L-DN43Js-Xbsr1e-A6LcVZ-e5zCEo-CGvPpb

Class 37 Photos...
Alcanman replied to class"66"'s topic in UK Prototype Discussions (not questions!)
Great pics Ray and not an Alco is sight. Oh. and I can't see Hayley Mills in that first pic, I thought Hayley Mills was in Pollyanna. -
Yes, mine was 'Harvest Gold' and it looked quite smart at the time. I also had another one whose colour, I can't remember except it resembled snot green! Must have been a Sunday afternoon, as I've just cleaned it.

I agree that 37401 is in it's correct guise for the WHL back in the day. I recall some being disappointed that it wasn't the current version. I'm happy with the original and also considering buying one. You are welcome to save any of my 37/4 photos to your hard drive. Here's another one for you. 37407 at Glasgow QS. Mal -
Great looking project. By co-incidence, I was reading 'Modelling in BR Era' this afternoon and my attention was drawn to Roshven ,as I've recently renewed my interest in the WHL. Will be following with interest.

Back in the 80s, the Mossend - Deanside trip working was coded T56 and, in 1988, booked for a class 37. Here is a nice model size example of T56 https://www.flickr.com/photos/21513703@N06/31031459350/in/photolist-27tHnoY-CudHjY-VamFLk-QLZnPq-QjjMea-Djs9vn-G8y2fQ-kRrnHD-Gkst93-Vm3cDq-MkDgNi-Czbn7e-aE5B3C-a7TYvr-pjfUa9-qdebHZ-jbUuex-23uiy9n-djYA8i-EpAxpF-bjW5qm-bhZAYv-aVtvv8-zAPR8E-M1UjaV-HzzKBy-CSZUUT-L9vJcd-Kbr2Dk-L9vHHN-CK3dST-KfSGbr-L37GgN-NX4tXV-NPfGQa-L38kYw-Ph9kKd-QLLKQR-251mJC1-uKhCkG-t8uKCJ-KfSH2z-NrKUJN-L5F8pg-x3BghY-x3Bgad-vLR7cK-vKkEr3-oGGU7D-bJo2JF

West Highland Line V4, a 1980's West Highland Line layout
Alcanman replied to young37215's topic in Modelling real locations
I also noted 37264 on your layout. I saw this loco several times during the last week of August 1984 by which time it had been painted in LL Blue. -

Just been catching up with your layout. Great work! This is certainly helping to revive my interest in the WHL, it's great to see your steam heat 37s, several of which, I have photos. Here's one of them, 37022 at Oban, August 1984 I'm hoping to have some Eastfiled 37s on my new layout soon. Mal
