Lovely work as ever Dave
I like the Hardy connection with the Sherton Abbas name and the abbey.
Next instalment awaited....
Cheers,
Mark
*Just need a Bathsheba and Gabriel Oak.......

Evening Pete,
Great work on that Class 24/1. Like Andy mentions a subtle weathering session will bring it all together nicely
.
Love those Lucas car headlamps on the front as well.
Thurso is the natural progression from KoL most definitely.
Nice work all round with the business cards and presentation stand
.
Cheers,
Mark

Look forwards to further progression with this Mikkel. Lovely drawings and an informative article.

Glad the show went well Pete....
Nicely presented as ever and you certainly certainly deserved a better position
. Your Class 24/1 is coming along nicely.
As for the confined space and plenty of punters! .....
Cheers,
Mark

When the Doc said 'narrow down your options'...I think you might have taken it too literally
Like this you mean?...

I thought you had been to see the Doctor about that
I've had a relapse.....

Pardon me asking, what is the TVR project?
No it's not a fibre glass sports car restoration project on a vehicle built in Blackpool by a bloke named Trevor....
It's my GWR post-war Teign Valley project that will one day materialise.
Cheers,
Mark

Very nice work as usual Mark.
Are these for the TVR project? Am guessing so.
Good to see you posting again - quite a fleet you have now...we just need to hear more about the layout they will be featured on
Thanks Pete
The N class will certainly be used for the TV project but the O2's were something I fancied working on as a pet project. They may spurn a small project in their own right.
As for a layout hopefully I may get something together this year but it may be of the
narrow gaugevariety!Cheers,
Mark

Good to hear KoL is out on the road again.
Think the DCC sound element will certainly add to the presentation especially with that guttural Class 37 thrash!
One good thing about small layouts like KoL is you don't need too many locos.......
Then again!
Cheers,
Mark

What a lovely build.
Very nicely done. Look forwards to seeing the next instalment....
-
Excellent work, Mark, truly excellent.
Can you not get these in BR grey livery now, though?
Very kind of you to say so CK...
Yes they are available in BR grey now but weren't when I started these earlier last year...conveniently
-
Splendid, Mark, just splendid. You have given me much food for thought. Rob.
Thanks Rob...
Look forwards to seeing what's up your sleeve.
-
Very nice. Did they start out in the BR grey and you weathered them, or were they also repaints from PO liveries?
They started off in PO liveries from the initial launch batch with red or black main colouring. The PO lettering was removed with a fibre glass burnishing stick or Humbrol enamel thinners. Then they were given a coat of Halfords grey plastic primer and worked up from there.
The BR examples would certainly be easier.
Think they'd make nice internal NCB user wagons.

Lovely work Chris on the station building and signal box.
Look forwards hearing about the developments on No:35.

Nice work as usual, a happy new year Mark.
Thanks Robin,
Happy New Year to you as well.....
Have you got any of these Oxford Rail RCH 7 Planks on ANTB?
Cheers,
Mark
-
HNY again Mark
Lovely work on the wagons - do like the weathering techniques
Great that they will appear on your TVR project...not that funny gauge stuff you dabble with
Pete
Hi Pete,
Thanks once again!
Once more you'll see more of these wagons in a few settings....Not necessarily on the TVR project though....
Cheers,
Mark

HNY Pete
Thanks.
Yes another proposal for a mystery project but something set around Cleveland or Guisborough...

Hi David, Thanks for your kind words. Like you I've fancied doing an unlined Cambridge example for a while. I've previously done Kettering's 46495 with tall chimney using a Comet version. I don't think these are available at present. The 247 Developments is a better shape though. Looking at other Cambridge examples I've a colour picture of 46467 in unlined black at Raunds. Cheers, MarkRelly great to see a model of one of the Cambridge 2MT, was 46466 the only one to receive the all over black livery our of the batch that worked from 31A. I've had a quick look through the books I have and think it may be? Also thanks for the tip about the chimney from 247 Developments. I was wondering how I was going to make that change. Best Wishes David -
Bit worried to see it perched on that box of 'funny wheelbased stuff' though
Got to keep you on your toes!....
Thanks Pete. Pleased with how this has turned out so far...
Cheers,
Mark

Weathering looks fab and good detailing as well.

Good to see you back CK.
Looking forwards to this progressing in the future.
Could it be based in the far west extremes of Gloucestershire?

I have started drafting my letter to Santa mean time...
Just don't sit on his knee.......

Evening Pete,
Must say this is looking and sounding good
The sound chip in the 37 captures the prototype nicely
Nice work on the 24/1 as well
Look forwards to further Highland sounds funds permitting
Cheers,
Mark

Hi Pete,
Must say this is looking good.
Personally I do like the additional depth given to the goods shed and feel it will add to the operational and visual interest.
The train shed will certainly enhance the sound of that 37 sound chip!
Cheers,
Mark

What do use the WAHL Clipper oil for in modelling?
Lovely work by the way.....
