Little industrials in 4mm/7mm. Or something narrow gauge. That would be nice. Please.
-
Steve, that was exactly the intention. I'm pleased it sort of shows what I was trying to achieve!

Thanks! It's a variety of techniques, including a variation of the hairspray technique, dry brushing, washes and pigments. I use products from AK Interactive (who I have only recently come across, but their products are sublime), and MIG, amongst the general paint manufacturers. I'm pleased you think it looks alright!

Some 7mm Narrow gauge stuff. I've been modelling for ages now, and I'm quite happy with how most of it is turning out. This is the latest item off my 'weathering workbench' using a few new ideas I've found on the interweb.
Any thoughts?

Some may call it madness, but I call it a deal. With a little work, that will make up into a great model. Watch this space...

I think this model looks great. Truly great!
I'd also hazard a guess about the new model being a 156, but thats wishful thinking!!

Cheating a bit, the backscene and smoke are photoshopped, and the noise was added in photoshop too. Otherwise, it's a 009 model.
Cheers

Looks superb - I wonder if a new livery will be appearing from York before long? (I quite fancy the idea of having a 'Truro' for Christmas two years in a row ).
But what a shame they've got white painted lamps on it
I agree, that livery does look nice. Suits it =)
Trains these days need to have a white headlamp, otherwise you don't see them coming...apparantly!
(Which is true to some extent. Sticking a white A4 sheet of paper to the tender of a black loco a mile away made an ENORMOUS difference to its visibility...)

I think that this looks great! Very interesting, but still relatively simple. Out of interest, what did you use to get the distressed look to the tube on the rusty tank? Is it rolled up paper?

Great work guys, mine doesn't come close =/
Well it doesn't have a roof yet, or couplings, or some other things, and I need to get rid of those strings of superglue, but hey, I like it =)
