Morning all Very heavy white frost here too, with clear blue skies. The lighter mornings seem to have appeared suddenly this year rather than creeping up on us. Perhaps it is because, up to now, it has been dark and grey, even at midday. Another 14 weeks or so and the mornings start drawing in again.

Yes. Thankfully one of the buses was empty and the other was quite empty. One of he drivers is dead and the other critical so they may never fully findout what happened.

I have just been looking at the news. It looks as though most of Western Europe has had a hard time of it.

That looks quite bad - particularly some of the links at the bottom of the page, Parts of this country were supposed to have storms today. Have they happened anywhere?

Don't worry - it isn't at all slushy back home. A fair bit of snow between Edinburgh and Carstairs. Very picturesque. Not so much South and East of Edinburgh but most of the fields are submerged. You missed a good show.

Perhaps we should suggest that all RMweb members wear green woolly hats and wellies. Then it would be easy to spot each other.

I was once mistaken for the liberal MP Alan Beith but these days am more likely to be mistaken for the Hindenberg (before the fire). Very enjoyable exhibition today. Didn't spend too much either.

I have my rucksack with me - and I deliberately haven't showered all week. I wouldn't want to stand out in the crowd. For some reason I have the whole carriage to myself too.

Yes. Model Rail Scotland indeed. 1st class too - Advanced tickets work out cheaper than petrol and cheaper than an ordinary standard return. Wouldn't want to be travelling wtih a different sort of person, would I? As much coffee as I can drink too - that clinches it for me.

You could say she cleaned them out Morning all Isn't technology wonderful. I'm sitting here travelling up the East Coast Main Line to Glasgow and talking to you lot. My laptop has the OS maps on it so the GPS is telling me exactly where I am. There are a lot of University rowing clubs on the train. No boats or oars but they all seem to be carrying their own rollocks.
