  1. Don: I have started a layout topic on it http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/66068-shunting-plank-as-yet-un-named/?p=892141
  2. Is this in any way connected with the dishwasher packing up?
  3. Sounds more like 'Climb Every Mountain' rather than starting at the very beginning. Unless of course you meant her other film, then ...... Scanner Skipsey goes ballistic, expososures avaricious.
  4. ... and the party doesn't start until half past eight.
  5. ..... or a way to enjoy Friday night
  6. It's Sunderland v Spurs here.
  7. How do you know that they aren't next years cards?
  8. £10.0000000000000 £58.0000000000000 There, Iv'e put some more zeros on for you. Just put the cheque in he post.
  9. Morning all Don, we are stil waiting to have some major work done on the house. You would think that in today's economic climate builders would be queuing at the door but not so. Both of the other layouts still exist, the first mostly on paper but with the points constructed, the second the track is layed and working. However, I don't want to take either any further as they would more than llikely have to be 'moved about' by the builders when they eventually get started. So I found myself in limbo and hence the smaller version that can be worked on and just stood to one side in the study when necessary. I have started a layout thread to report progress. My iPad automatically corrected progress to regress. Does it know something I don't?
  10. .....shirt? .....in the park? .....for two?
  11. Well, since Andy started it I feel a time saver based shunting plank coming on.....
  12. Isn't that why you all have three legs?
  13. ......just most of the day. Seriously though, the people who pop in here for a chat have produced some super models. Speaking of which, Beast, are there any plans to take WVY on the road in the future?
  14. Purely out of scientific interest DD; Had you buttered the points of the scissors before they fell?
  15. I'm sure that they'll find at least one who hasn't had a job for a few weeks and desperately needs their ego massaging.
  16. I have (fairly) recently started wearing hearing aids. Have just discovered that whilst wearing them I can't keep a pencil behing my ear. What a bummer.
  17. Tears are rolling down my cheeks as I read that.
  18. Sad to hear that Don. A difficult time for all concerned. Our thoughts will be with you.
  19. I find my calendar very useful. First I mark the holidays, then I highlight the weekends with local exhibitions or interesting railtours. It hangs in the study and often helps me through the evenings, both light and dark. Railway related photographs are an added bonus.
  20. I agree with your sentiments entirely but ... Re-read your own post. Let's just move on.
  21. It fits your mouth? There's clever.
  22. That wouldn't be the one with 5029 Nunney Castle hauling a train of GWR coaches through Bewdley Station on the cover of both the Calendar and Diary would it? Ask me how I know.
  23. No need to apologise Debs. There's nothing wrong with recalling experiences and putting viewpoints forward in a reasoned way as you have done. For some reason though, when cyclists (and BMW drivers) are mentioned here antagonism more often than not develops.
  24. Unfortunately, there are examples of ill mannered and inconsiderate folk in all groups of people - cyclist, walkers drivers etc etc. Over the years many threads have gone down this route and have ended up being locked. Let's avoid that scenario here if we can.
