    EBay madness

Bauxite? Should have gone to Specsavers.
  2. Sad times, MickB. There's not a lot we can do here, but I'm sure that if good wishes and supportive thoughts made any difference you would all be getting a lot of help from ERs.
  3. I hope so, otherwise that chair in the conservatory is off to the local skip.
  4. Morning all. Hope they don't mix Robbie and DD's blood tests up. Shopping. Joy.
  5. But still getting lots of support on the intersocialwebbynet thingy.
  6. Why is it that every time I read this thread I long for times gone by and wish I had a time machine?
  7. I think generally everyone was heading in one direction.
  8. This being the 'How realistic are your models' thread I had assumed it was a model taken outdoors. Not an unreasonable assumption when you see some of the excellent dioramas that do get produced.
  9. ... and I bet it was all your fault too.
  10. And in other news a major road improvement scheme due to start tomorrow in Northumberland has been delayed. They have discovered high voltage cables where they were due to start digging. What level of incompetence means that they didn't have a record of them or carry out more detailed checks beforehand? Unbelievable.
  11. I am quite skilled when it comes to mucking up bath sealant.
  12. The Pearson Way or the Derby Way. Which will win out?

I'll see your 'Oh dear' and raise you a 'Good grief!'
  14. Surely he should have tried a half in each pub before going back for a pint in the first.
  15. That top diagram looks familiar. Do all supermarkets put the beer and crisps in the same place?
  16. Have you visited South West Ireland before Tony? If not you must take the opportunity to do so. The place, the people ........ it is heaven on earth.
  17. Morning all. Planning a family barbeque for this weekend. So that's Saturday's weather goosed then. You have permission to heap your opprobrium in this direction.
  18. I can't help but think that when the attacks do come that all that is rather just cosmetic.
  19. There is a photograph on th BBC news site today. It shows a nun leaving church and to one side of the door a fully armed, commando style police officer. That must be one of the saddest sights I have ever seen. I am very thankful that I have lived most of my life, so far, in more tolerant times and in a less trouble torn region.
  20. The fitted plastic driver in the Class 20 looks quite lifelike.
  21. Evening all First up, sorry to hear about the bash, Dom. Look after yourself. Pleased to hear that all sounds well with Robbie. Hope calcium levels sort themselves out. Mike, I have occasionally visited Edinburgh for a day during festival time just to take in the atmosphere. It is on my 'to do list' to actually stay a week or so and do some shows. Safely returned from the York Maze and we didn't even have to open the emergency map pack. Found all of the clues scattered about the maze too. The highlight though was the pig race. By gum them bu$$ers can't half move when there's food at the end. They looked like young Gloucester Old Spots. Funnily enough the speciality barbecue item was 'Old Spot Sausages'. Some parents gave me a dirty look when I suggested that it might be the losers.
  22. No need to check all of the way through. It's the third from last posting. Ps. A cup of kiss my ass is only nice with a handful of ginger nuts.
  23. Morning all Hope it stays dry as we are taking grandson to the York Maze. I may or may not post again Yesterday, being Yorkshire Day, they had various activities including aYorkshire pudding eating competition and a Yorkshire Pudding throwing competition. They know how to celebrate things in Yorkshire.
  24. ...and now you know what they get up to in the other 29.
