  1. p.s. who is Dermot O'Leary?
  2. They say he keeps her in his wardrobe. Well everyone has a skeleton in the cupboard, don't, they.
  3. He probably had. i mean, he is 96.
  4. I managed to watch the main events today... the rugby playoffs. A pity Newcastle didn't show up, although credit to Exeter for not letting them. I believe other entertainment was available on TV today. Now sitting outside, (definitely worth a mention on the north east coast) suffering a glass of red stuff, listening to Classic FM and enjoying the smell of burning Irish peat which brings to mind particularly poignant memories.
  5. Not that long ago, when this happened it was headline news and refineries were blockaded. Perhaps people just accept that things have been more uncertain over the last year or two. Or that wedding thing has kept it off the front pages.
  6. By the looks of it, Durham need all the help they can get.
  7. When I went to the NPL site to have a look at the Kibble balance it asked me why I was visiting today? "Inner Temple sent me" is probably not the sort of answer they are looking for. I suppose "Q sent me" might result in a visit from MI6
  8. The Bentham line, Leeds to Lancaster/Morecombe or The Little North Western as it is known is worth a look at. Particularly the Hellifield to Lanaster section. Could you fit it in with the S&C and WCML as part of a circular route?
  9. I don't see why they are so chewed that her Dad won't be there. I mean, his won't either.
  10. Many happy returns, Rick.
  11. Received a mail shot today saying tours are due to be resumed in July.
  12. I think I might give the Gourmet Burger a miss.
  13. Shouldn't be any problem thinking of names for the streets though... First Street, Second Street, Third...... I wonder if that's where they came up with the idea of Platform 1, Platform 2,.........
  14. Was that LiFi article written on April 1st?
  15. No, double Ow gauge. Or possible Nnnnnnnn gauge.
  16. You needn't worry about Sunderland either.
  17. RR&Co is, as far as I understand it, a very comprehensive piece of software. It is also very expensive. JMRI does a similar job and I use Rocrail and it does everything I need it to. Both are free although rocrail does encourage a donation. I have used Lenz equipment for years and have occasionally thought about changing. I have always decided against it because my Lenz equipment works, I am familiar with it and, again, it does what I need it to. Clunky, perhaps, definitely not all the bells and whistles of some newer systems. but comprehensive features.
  18. You will be able to run the next door neighbour's trains.
  19. I'll have to put it in the diary. Which weekend was it again?
  20. I see your indicators aren't working
  21. I always enjoy 'clever' station names. East Clintwood was a favourite.
  22. Without getting into the arguments about quoting, changing quotes, emboldening quotes or suggesting any of the previous, I think you could have stopped typing after the word anybody*. * Except from me of course because I am the very personification of perfection on the road.
