  1. Hi Marcus, I wouldn't get rid of it that's for sure, maybe being creative with the Lego has helped over the years. When I was about 9 or 10 I started building Airfix kits which I think has helped me over the years. Cheers Peter.
  2. Thanks George, I sold some of the better stuff I had to fund train stuff but still have a box of the more standard Lego. My Daughter was never really into it so I haven't added to it for years. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Alex, I am sure it would be somewhere. My mate John Dedman has some nice pics of Shirebrook on Flickr. Cheers Peter.
  4. Nice work Marcus, The bridge looks great, as does 145 but the split box class 37 is the best what a beast. The wagon behind it looks like Lima PGA. I have a rake of these that need some work but I have never seen any pics of them working anywhere but out of the Westbury area on stone. Did they see any use in the Midlands. Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Scott, Hope you and the family are well. I love lego and had quite a bit as a kid though nothing like what you can get today. Now I am not going to take the blame for your failed layout attempts and I understand you are joking but you have had some good layouts over the years you just need to stick with something and not get sidetracked by other peoples layouts and idea's. Am I right or Am I right. If I could start again, Llanbourne would be a lot different that it is today but I am happy with what I have, so Llanbourne will hopefully be around for a few years yet. From what I have seen you can make boards lay track ballast track wire it and do scenic work. You have weathered stock too. I know Ian is always happy to help out you out too and I know he probably has more modelling time than you but look at that superb layout he has built and in such a short time. Come on Mate have another crack. Looking forwards to you next layout thread, even if it a Lego train set. All the Best Peter.

Thanks for taking time to do the video Andy, Looks and sounds great, that class 50 is a beast. Cheers Peter.
  7. No need to apologies Mate, Modelling time can get a bit Scarce so if you have time and are in the mood to do some modelling then get cracking. The bridge is looking good, plenty of time for 47 pics. Cheers Peter.
  8. Thanks Will, I have been meaning to check up on your latest progress so will try and find time tomorrow. Cheers Peter.
  9. Thanks Marcus, I had another running session tonight so more pics tomorrow. I have a few books on The North Wales Coast and old Rail mags have helped me work out what formations were running Some guys on here have given me info too and I have tried to copy that, with a few extra trains that are out of my time period but add extra interest. Cheers Peter.
  10. Thanks Mate, Here are a couple more. 31323 arrives on the daily TPO service. 47515 sweeps round the curve on the SO Paddington - Llanbourne. Cheers Peter.

Liking the latest pics Andy, 50035 looks nice I bet it sounds good too. I am with Marcus on the Mince Pie night though it's a bit of a long way for me to come. I am very tempted though I do love a nice mince pie. Cheers Peter.
  12. Hi Rick, Have you thought about hanging up some shade cloth. You might lose some light but it would cut down the heat. See you Sunday. Cheers Peter.
  13. A train I haven't taken a pic of in ages is actually a train that didn't work on the North Wales Coast. it's an MOD train that goes to Amlwch which in my world is a Military Port. If someone produces an Acid tank wagon I will make up a train of them but until then I will rum an MOD train. It also picks up a van from Llanbourne which is tripped from Maentwrog Road. 25059 has run round it's train and is waiting to depart back to Crewe. Later seen putting the power down passing the oil sidings. Cheers Peter.
  14. Thanks Jamie, Long time no see, hope you are well. Cheers Peter.
  15. Thanks Alex, 45103 is my only one with Tinsley name, I have thought about putting them on my 141 but they are a bit out of my time period. I also have 45111 which was one of the last to carry it's cast name. I have always liked the idea of doing 45115 as it had a blue Tinsley name, I do have a newer Bachmann class 46 that I plan to do at some point, but have been thinking of doing 45110 with Orange stripe. Cheers Peter.
  16. I remember Bath road back in the day but I have alway thought Shirebrook would be a great layout. Cheers Peter.
  17. More super pics Dave, Looks like your to do list is longer than mine which doesn't make me feel so bad about all the loco's stored under the layout. Cheers Peter.
  18. I can't remember what loco's I drove though as a Shunter I didn't officially drive any. No worries re the colour some of the pics I take of Llanbourne look different when up on screen. I will be nice to see Jinty's request of 47145 working some freight. I remember seeing it quite often at Eastleigh though I never did get a pic of it, I remember climbing into the cab to go up the yard to pick up a train and the cab was as tidy on the inside as the outside of the loco. Cheers Peter.
  19. 45029 leaves Llanbourne station on a Trans -Pennine service for Bangor. Lucky it's a warm day there won't be any heat for the coaches from the no heat Peak. Shortly after 45029 departs 45103 rolls out of platform 2 and moves to the stabling point. Cheers Peter.
  20. Not sure about those 66s Marcus, The rest of the layout is looking very good though. I am not sure about the colour of your troughing, it looks a bit green. The signals look nice too always liked the Semaphores. Cheers Peter.
  21. Now that looks SUPERB. Well done mate glad you stuck with it. Cheers Peter.
  22. Thanks Rob, They hide some of my dodgy paving.lol Cheers Peter.
  23. No to far out Marcus, The pics are taken from a footbridge just North of Chesterfield station. Cheers Peter.
  24. Cav is right, NSE translator/ barrier coaches for taking EMUs from I think Derby or York back to the southern. Cheers Peter.
  25. Sorry to hear that about your pics, I would hate to loose all my slides. A couple of blue grey MK2s would look ok with the MK1s you just have to make sure the MK2s are the early vac brake ones unless your MK1s are duel brake. Cheers Peter.
