  1. No Worries Jeff, Hopefully catch up at the next meeting. Cheers Peter.
  2. I have had a bit of a clean up this week and cleaned all the tracks on Llanbourne as I have a BRMA meeting here tomorrow. Trains are all ready to go in the fiddleyard and loco's are stabled in the depot. The area around the groundframe has been finished off and I have re branded a friends class 66. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Stu, The layout is looking good mate, must admit I quite like the Semaphores. I had a squeal in my Hornby class 31, I ended up taking off the clip at the top of the gear tower and lifting out the worm drive so I could get grease in the bearings. Cheers Peter.
  4. A great set of pics Rick, I did notice in the last pic of the Hymek the bogie sides look like the bogie step is on the wrong end. Should be a simple case of pull then off and swap then round. Cheers Peter.
  5. Just remember you will need to do a few mods to the body for a 45/1. I bet you can't waits it must have been a few years since you have done any work on your loco fleet. Cheers Peter.
  6. Hi Marcus, As Sam and Neil mentioned the Hattons decoders are pretty good I have used them since the Gaugemaster ones are no longer available. I haven't tried the 21 pin ones yet though so might try one next time I need one. I think some sound is better than others, my favourite is a class 25 but having more than one running just annoys me as you say still nothing like the real thing. I left the railway years ago but still remember very well the smell and sound of the diesels coming and going at Eastleigh. Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi Alex, Loving the Peak pics, the first on in the snow is superb. Your Peak looks right at home and will look even better with a bit of weathering. The layout is looking good too, nice work on the walkways I am sure it wont be long before it all painted up. Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi Jinty, Hope you get your modelling mojo back soon I have been enjoying your thread and looking forwards to seeing that lovely 4f getting some use on your layout. Cheers Peter.
  9. Sorry to hear that Rick. I only saw the old boy on Sunday. All the best Peter.
  10. Hi Marcus, I started with a few chipped loco's them saved for some cheaper 8 pin ones from Gaugemaster to fit to my early Bachmann Heljan and class 31s. They have been good decoders so I haven't up graded them. I have a few sounds loco's too but won't be doing every loco. Cheers Peter.
  11. Hi Rick, Thanks for the running day on sunday. The layout looks as good as ever and was running well too. I was good to catch up and watch some long trains running through your lovely scenery. Cheers Peter.
  12. Hi Marcus & Anthony, Great video, a nice variety of traction. I still have my old H&M and they just cut it for the modern loco's. you do get better control with DCC, though it will cost you a bit. Cheers Peter.
  13. Thank you, Still a few more to come when I get a chance. Cheers Peter.
  14. No worries Marcus, I thought you had a D200 but I think for your time period D200 would have been stuck in York. 50007 looked good in the Charter set. 47145 did look good a nice set of wagons too. Cheers Peter.
  15. Thanks Cav, I do love your 45110 I remember seeing 110 and 107 back in the day and wanting to do at least one of them. I have thought about putting up a removable sky backscene when taking pics from the back of the layout. It would certainly improve the pic with D200. Cheers Peter.
  16. Certainly worth a try Alex, As I said I do like class 60s, I actually remember when they first came out. I was working up Eastleigh Yard at the time when one came down for crew training. I remember the first time I climbed into the cab very spacious and modern compared to class 37s etc. Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks Mate, still a few more pics to come. Cheers Peter.
  18. Thanks Stu, I had some trouble while working on D200 but it's come together well and is a bit of a favourite at the moment. I am still following your progress and it looks like you will ballasting soon, it's a big job but doing small area's at a time makes it easier. Cheers Peter.
  19. Thanks Marcus, I checked out your lads video before and saw the saloon go by with a class 31 providing the power. Didn't see D200 though. Cheers Peter.
  20. Hi Alex, Yes it's been a while hope you are well mate, I have done a bit on Llanbourne since you were on I have probably done more on the layout this year than I the last five. Cheers Peter.
  21. Thanks Will, I am quite enjoying playing trains at the moment. Cheers Peter.
  22. Some pics from the other day, 37427 on a service to Bangor D200 has a day out with the Inspection Saloon. Cheers Peter.
  23. Thanks Marcus and Paul, The wagon info is worth knowing, I don't think for an old Lima wagon they look too bad. I was thinking if I painted them back the the ARC livery I could use them on an Ashburys to Penmaenmawr stone working. It's a bit of a future project as I have plenty of other stuff to do but I think they might look quite good. Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi Alex, I did have 45107 years ago and have thought about adding a name to 45141 as it was the last Peak I saw back in 88 only weeks away from being withdrawn. I do like class 60s but probably not much chance of changing the time period. Nice pics though. Cheers Peter.
