  1. No worries Marcus, I did see some pics of the DRS 37s back on the Cumbrian Coast. It's a line I didn't do back in the day which is a shame there are some nice stations and Semaphores on the route. If the trains are still running late next year I might try and go out for a ride as I am planning a trip to the UK next September. Cheers Peter.
  2. Thanks Alex, Still plenty to add but running out of room. I have been running trains since my meeting last week problem is I have found a few loco's need some servicing I have had too pull apart one of my 108 DMUs due to poor running. I pulled the motor and gears out of another one and things seem to have improved but it's still not the best runner. Looks like more servicing tomorrow and no playing trains. Cheers Peter.
  3. I think the 90s was pretty good for 37 haulage. It's possible 37418 although in sector livery was in a passenger loco pool. I know 37425 was a regular on the North Wales Coast and other regional railway service trains. I think I mentioned before the Newcastle - Poole was often Peak hauled as far as Birmingham. The loco would work the return working later in the day. A couple of mine from back in the day. Cheers Peter.
  4. Oh yes forgot you had done two 37s already. I had a quick look at the NGS website looks like they do some nice kits. I quite like building wagon kits myself all my Catfish and Dogfish on Llanbourne are kits. Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Neil, I had this to Holyhead and back on another day. Cheers Peter.
  6. Ooooh nice, looks like it has the same bogie gap between the body problem as the Bachmann 00 loco. How are you set for ballast wagons in N gauge? Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi Kevin, Asked my brother. Train went to Dagenham Docks and was booked that way, like you said via Laverstock loop. Cheers Peter.
  8. I love that shot of the Dutch split box 37 on Catfish wagons. Is there an N gauge model of those available. Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Stu, I have some Labelle 106 grease. seems to work quite well. Cheers Peter.
  10. Thanks Kevin, Southampton up yard had closed by this time so loaded at Eastleigh. I think diverted this way so vans were facing the right way at the destination thought not sure where that was at this time. Cheers Peter.
  11. Hi Marcus, I am glad my pics are making you all nostalgic, I think that's one reason why we model, to bring back the memories of spotting and Bashing trips. Best I can do is a large logo 37/4 and some blue grey MK1 rake. I do remember 37408 being up on the coast when I was there for a few days. I remember the green 101 too. A few pics from my trip. Might bring back a few memories for you. Cheers Peter.
  12. Thanks Jeff, I might try and do another running day in the new year so you can come down. Manfred missed my meeting too as did Roger. Cheers Peter. Thanks Neil. Cheers Peter.
  13. Thanks Marcus, It 's the underframe that lets it down the most to be honest, it can be improved by hacking away some of the plastic but I will leave mine for now. I have plenty of other projects to do first. Cheers Peter.
  14. Hi Kevin, Found this pic I took back in the 90s. The train was normally booked for a class 47 but on this day a 37667 turned up. Cheers Peter.
  15. Hi Phil, Just been catching up on your thread. I am liking all the class 37s, I do like the Dutch livery it really suits them. Hope your ballast dries, I find you can water PVA down a fair bit may be spray on a stronger mix. Cheers Peter.
  16. Hi Kevin, Nice to see some pics, love the the Transit van train. I remember seeing it a fair bit back in the day. Cheers Peter.
  17. A couple from running a few trains today. Cheers Peter.
  18. Thanks Andy, A friend of mine brought a class 50 along to my meeting and it sounded ok but needed the CV's sorted as it would speed up way to fast for the sound. Glad you had a good show. Cheers Peter.
  19. Thanks Neil, My mate was quite pleased with it and has taken it home to join all his other class 66's. Cheers Peter.
  20. Thanks Craig, I have two Lima 101's that have both have the better Hornby motors fitted and they run really well. I do like the look of the Bachmann model but it's out of my price range and I probably have enough 101's. I think the MK2ds look ok but I will be tempted with the new Bachmann ones when they come out, I was going to get some Hornby air cons too but they have their own problems so I will stick with my old ones for now. Cheers Peter.
  21. Glad you had a good time Rick, That 02 steamer of yours is a super looking little model I am glad it's running better now. Thanks for posting up the pic but the class 26 belongs to Simon, though I think it's had more running on my layout than his. Cheers Peter.
  22. Thanks Jinty, As I said to Andy if you are ever down this way you are more than welcome. Cheers Peter.
  23. Thanks Pete, I am quite happy with it, masking was a bit of a pain, I needed to do a few touch up's but now it's weathered it looks pretty good. Cheers Peter.
  24. Thanks Andy, Hope you have a good show, you know you would be more than welcome if you ever come down this way. Cheers Peter.
