  1. I would love to see one in the flesh but it looks a superb model. I hope we will see some class 25s at some point the class 24 is a bit early for my time period. Here are a couple of pics I took at Swanage last year. Not only did the loco look great it sounded great and went well on the two trips I had behind it. Cheers Peter.
  2. Hi Lee, looking forwards to the build of the class 20 and 40. 118 is a good choice one of the last in service too. Wouldn't mind a class 26 or 27 haulage either but will have too see whats running. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Coachman, I had another look at the video and I am not sure the class 56 is on the Coast. It looks nearer to Derby. It is well and truly in the dirt. Cheers Peter.
  4. I am just glad you are getting back into modelling again Lee., Great to hear you are getting another class 40. Are you going to do 135 again? It would be good to catch up. I would like more time at the East Lancs and we are planning on a few weeks in Scotland so I want to do Bo ness line. Cheers Peter.
  5. Thanks Rick, From what I have seen a mix of blue grey and NSE livery too. Cheers Peter.
  6. Nice shot Merf, I bet they were moving with only 3 on. Cheers Peter.
  7. Tell you what Lee, Brian Daniels has done some very nice work on his JLTRT 20s too as well as having the great pics from back in the day. Glad the gen was of use, as for lack of scotty dog I think they were less common in 83 84 it was mainly the namers that had them. It seems by 85 though that a lot more loco's started to get them along with the Haymarket Castle and Inverness Stag. Forgot to mention in my other post. We are planning a trip back to the UK next September, not sure what diesel gala's are on then but it would be good to get a bit of haulage in. Cheers Peter.
  8. Thanks for posting up the video Rick, The 56 is well and truly off the road. It seems the length of train varies too from 3 to 6 or 7 MK2s. Obviously I am cheating a bit as this train ran in the late 80s early 90s so a bit out of my time period by my 20s look quite good on the MK1 rake. Cheers Peter.
  9. If not a Heljan a JLTRT kit? Ok my old 1983 Platform 5 spotter books tells me 20045 and 20085 were vp Vac brake through steam piped. One pic I found of 085 shows a hole just below the Air brake pipe, so would guess thats where it would have been and probably removed when in works being fitted with air brakes. Cheers Peter.
  10. Nice, presume you have a Heljan beastie then. I won't mention I have a Heljan class 37 and class 26 sat under Llanbourne. Been very tempted to get a Dogfish and Catfish too. Good luck with your project make sure you start a thread when you get started. Cheers Peter.
  11. Nice Pic Lee, Come on do tell. N gauge O Gauge???? Cheers Peter.
  12. A couple more from the other day. 47535 arrives on a service from Crewe. 47515 removes a van from the rear of the train then works the train on the Holyhead. 25059 arrives at Llanbourne South Yard with the daily trip from Holyhead and pick ups a few HEA coal wagons. 25059 then departs to Llanbourne where it pushes back onto some TEAs from the fuel point 25059 then pulls forward and runs round and picks up some empty VGAs from the Town Yard and then goes back into it's train ready to depart as the daily Speedlink from Llanbourne to Warrington. 47535 ticks over in the middle road waiting to work a return service to Crewe. 20169 and 121 wait in platform 3 to depart to Derby. The last pic shows a few loco's on shed. I really need to actually build the shed one day. Cheers Peter.
  13. Hi Lee, Not cheeky at all, I have quite a few slides which I am slowly loading onto my Flickr site and if they are of use to someone then all the better. Now I didn't know that any class 20s had a steam heat thro pipe fitted but looking at a few pics I see they were used paired with a class 37 on passenger work in the West Highlands. I am guessing their were only a few 20s fitted with this and from the pics I have seen removed by the mid 80's. Are you planning on modelling this loco? Cheers Peter.
  14. Looking forwards to some pics then Mate. Cheers Peter.

    WEST SHED

Great work on the Q1 Andy, It's got all mucky, just how they should be. I don't think I have ever seen a pic of one clean to be honest. I have always quite like Q1 and have a weathered up one in my display case. It' belonged to a friend of mine who passed away a few years ago. He left his train collection to 3 friends so I have a few loco's and wagons of his, that get a run now and then. Cheers Peter.
  16. Thanks Dave, Neil, and George. I will post up some more pics later. Cheers Peter.
  17. Oh nice, the brass wheels are a bit crap so it's good you can get replacements. I am sure we will see pics soon. Cheers Peter.
  18. Thanks Lee, Glad you like the EE traction. I am sure there was something in your post re 20045. I had a look at my slide list and didn't find any prints of 045. There are some nice pics on Flickr if you type in 20045 in the search section. Cheers Peter.
  19. A couple more pics from this week. 97406 ex 40135 is seen about to head down the branch on a short engineers train. 31323 rolls round the curve on a ballast train. Cheers Peter.
  20. Was that a new model Rick, I haven't noticed Heljan bringing out more Hymeks. Cheers Peter.
  21. Nice shot Marcus, Do they get much work? I have only see pics of they working the new underground stock. Best I can do is a Banger blue pair on a Derby- Llanbourne passenger turn. Cheers Peter.
  22. Hi Dave, I don't blame you it is a nice model. I use Kadee couplers and haven't had too many problems when the loco is pulling the train but any shunting can cause problems. Shame you haven't heard back from Hornby I thought they were quite good at replying to customer feedback. I might have a look at trying to attach the couplers to the bogie somehow. Loving the pics keep them coming. Cheers Peter.

    Heljan class 60

Noticed you might be getting Alex, they do look nice. Where will it end though. lol Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi Dave, Shed shots look superb, as a mate of mine used to say when passing a full looking shed. "It's Packed". Your class 56 looks good too, looks like you couldn't help yourself I remember you saying they were a bit on the expensive side. I was running my 5070 the other day and I am not sure it runs as well as my other loco's, and the coupler set up isn't very good. Cheers Peter.
  25. Super set of pics Rick, The various Standard class loco's have always been a favourite of mine as are the Bulleid loco's, But I do like the S15 and T9 the weathering looks great on all the models. Cheers Peter.
