  1. Hi Marcus, I must have missed them, a pair on some ICI hoppers will look nice, those old wagons latest until quite late. Cheers Peter.
  2. Thanks Cav, I think we all do the same, we see some nice loco's on here. I have been eyeing off the Dapol class 73 but don't really need one. I have been working on stock for Llanbourne for over 20 years so have almost enough loco's now. I still have a few more in boxes waiting to be done. Luckily I done need to buy many more loco's. Look forwards to seeing what 20s you do when you get some. Cheers Peter.
  3. 31323 heads back to Crewe on a loaded ballast. Followed by a 128 108 combo on a local service. Cheers Peter.
  4. Thanks Marcus, I haven't seen your class 20s working on Peak Dale Wood yet. Back in the day some class 20s were renumbered too 20/3 to work stone trains in your area. Cheers Peter.
  5. If I add a few Peaks in the line definitely.
  6. Thanks Mate. Send them over I don't charge much. lol Cheers Peter.
  7. Looking really good Marcus, This will be a great layout to run trains on. It's nice to see a yard full of wagons too, not such a common sight these days. Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi Doug, Hope you are well and the meeting went ok. I couldn't make it I had a mates wedding Saturday. Cheers Peter.
  9. Thanks Merf, I think I know the train you are on about. There is a pic on the 1D53 website. Cheers Peter.
  10. Thanks Andy, It's just the 6 one is hiding. Cheers Peter.
  11. The Llanbourne class 20 fleet grew by two over the weekend. 20009 and 20165 are now finished and have worked their first train. Having now done 6 loco's I have noticed a few things in the class that my be of use to others modelling class 20's. 20009 was one of the first batch and came out with Oval buffers. The other disc loco's differ from the headcode box fitted loco's as they have a different style Speedo cable. Pipework seems to vary a bit but most disc fitted class 20s have the MU socket next to the right buffer slightly lower than the headcode fitted loco's. My 20121 started out as a Lima Headcode fitted model which I converted to a disc fitted machine useing a Craftsman detailing kit. This loco also has the larger drivers window which a batch of loco's had when fitted with tablet exchange gear for the Scottish region. 20154, 165, 169. are all headcode fitted loco's and I have noticed these loco's have lamp brackets on the buffers which the Disc loco's do not have. Note the MU socket sits higher up on the bufferbeam and the Speedo on these loco's is different to the Disc fitted loco's. Also 20121 and 169 have the slightly larger numbers. Also as Lee mentioned the equalising beams vary quite a bit in the class so you will have to find a pic of the loco to check. Beams are plain, fluted, and fluted with holes. Hope this is of some use. The pics should help show what I am talking about. Cheers Peter.
  12. Hi Rich, You might have to see if you can get a spare body with the raised cowl or try and make one from scratch. I think A1 Models did one at some point but I haven't seen one for years. Cheers Peter.
  13. No worries Rich, You have found me now welcome aboard. My 31403 is one of the early blue loco's Hornby did but the rad cowl is from a triple grey sound fitted Hornby class 31 which is now fitted with the rad grille from the blue loco. They are a bit tricky to remove I just took my time. Cheers Peter.
  14. Thanks Rick, I wasn't a fan of any second Gen DMUs but as models I quite like them, as you say sort of got to have them if you model the mid 80s. Cheers Peter.
  15. Thanks Lee, I must say your 7mm 20 is a real beast. I have fallen for the old eqaulising beam variation before. My Lime pair had the wrong ones for a while but I sorted it the end. My 20165 chassis does has the beams with holes, the pic of mt railfreight 023 above might have confused you. Both loco's are weathered now I will post up some pics tomorrow hopefully. I might list what I have done as there are a few differences among the class especially between the dics and Headcode versions. Cheers Peter.
  16. Thanks Marcus, Of course why would you when there were still plenty of loco hauled trains about. Cheers Peter.

  18. Evening Andy, Thanks mate, I always put on a bit of silver I think it looks quite good. Cheers Peter.
  19. No worries Mate, Always best to get the track as flat and straight as possible less chance of the old trains falling off. Cheers Peter.
  20. I do like that Crompton top weathering job Rick. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hope you are well Alex, Found this pic in a box thought you might like it. Cheers Peter.
  22. Sorry Dave these pics don't look real at all, it's far too sunny. Haymarket should be dull and wet. lol Seriously though superb pics. Cheers Peter.
  23. Hi Marcus, Some great pics, the new bit is coming together well. The track on the far right in pic 4 looks like it has a bit of a kink part way down. Might be worht a look before you ballast it. Cheers Peter.
