  1. Some nice progress Mate, the boards are looking great. Cheers Peter.
  2. Hi Dave, Nice work on the fiddleyards. I am well jealous of your TEAs I have always wanted a train of them but Llanbourne is just not big enough to handle them. It's a wagon I have always liked as it was one of the biggest wagons around back in the 80s. I used to see them go through my home station on their way to or from Furzebrook, it was normally class 47 hauled but always ten wagons. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Rick, Nice work on the Pusher, The AA headcode was used although not officially when a class 33 was used on the breakedown train or rescuing a failed loco/train. I have a pic somewhere I will did it out, also if a Pusher was being used on normal Hauled stock the Buckeye would be used. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Rick, Your weathering has certainly improved the Western. I was a dull day today the only sun we had coming back from Kerang was when we stopped at Bridgewater. Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Dave, Those coaches look superb. I don't remember seeing the MK1s when did they get painted? I saw the MK2 set up at Inverness but that would have been early 90s. Your fiddleyard extension sounds interesting too looking forwards to some pics. Cheers Peter.
  6. Hi Ian, A bit of a bash on the mid Hants would be great I haven't done that line in years. Not sure if I can make it up to Shenfield it's a bit of a drive but would like to catch up with the gang and see Tidworth or meet up at Kevins. We will be travelling around a bit after the 27th and heading to to Scotland so it might be a bit hard to sort something. Cheers Peter.
  7. Thanks Marcus, I took a few days doing this section too. Some of the grass hasn't stuck the best but I am leaving it as it looks pretty good, the trees and hedge hide a few joins but I think it looks ok from most angles. The Grid was one of those well I might as well have one, they did work flyash trains along the Coast in about 82 so I figured one would be ok. I have a Heljan class 58 in bits at the moment too I just fitted a chip and gave it a test run last night. I thought it might be a quick weather up job but I am going to have too remove the radio pod from the cab roof which means some re painting and not just weathering. Cheers Peter.
  8. Thanks Chris, I am happy with how it's coming together the scenics on this bit are nearly done. Cheers Peter.
  9. Thanks guys, The pics I have found of 34069 seen to have the late crest which is fine as I can change that. As long as it's the right tender I am happy. That's useful info on the nameplates I wonder what size the Modelmaster ones are. I am not sure if I will be able to get the CGW nameplates sent over the website didn't look easy to use. Cheers Peter.
  10. Lovely trackwork Mate, looking forwards to seeing that Warship weathered up, what a beast. Cheers Peter.
  11. Hi Rick, I think the 98 was used on Sunday stoppers when the juice was off, and 33/1 worked the trains between Southampton and Bournemouth/Weymouth. Pic below shows a Standard at Sway, must have be short of pushers this day. Cheers Peter.
  12. Hi Jim, I think it was late 80s. I think it was to test the bogies going under channel tunnel stock. The test train came down to Eastleigh a few times a day for a while, it also ran to Brockenhurst for a while. Locals used to call it Zebedee due to it going up and down all the time. I remember seeing it off the rails at Eastleigh one day. The Driver said he had an earth fault with the ED ie he was in the dirt. lol Cheers Peter.
  13. Never mind the TCs just listen to that Crompton thrash. lol Thanks for the link Jeff. All we need now is a REP. Cheers Peter.
  14. Hi Bulleid Gurus, I have just been catching up on this thread as I have a couple of Spam cans I want to detail myself. It seems they are a minefield so thought this would be the place to ask a few questions. I have 34043 which from what I can see here I need to add AWS box on the front and move the West Country Scroll higher up. My other model has an as built Tender the loco has the narrower cab so I think this narrows it down to 34069 I have a pic of the tender below. I am hoping thats ok for 069. This will also need AWS box on the front I believe RT models is the place to get these. Fox do nameplates but so do modelmaster which are cheaper thing is which are best or come to that the correct size. Cheers Peter.
  15. Hi Simon, Loving the pics, brings back memories of knocking wagons around Eastleigh Yard back in the day. Cheers Peter.
  16. Nice pics Marcus, Whats 026 doing? I noticed the blue pair have been used on freight. Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks for the link Lee, Looks like I will miss the diesel gala, but there might be another chance if a diesel is out on another day. I will keep a look out on the link you have sent me. Cheers Peter.
  18. Hi Lee, Yep 4 weeks September into August. Coming over for Mum and Dads 50th wedding anniversary on the 24th. Plan is to travel up to Scotland after that plus a few stops on the way. Cheers Peter.
  19. 49kgs means more trains. lol Cheers Peter.
  20. Hi Doug, We missed out on some cheap flights with Qantas I think some times it's right place right time as the special had finished the next day. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hi Marcus, If you have any specials in September let me know as I will be over. Cheers Peter.
  22. Thanks Guys, I think the A 380 is pretty good not been on a B787 yet though hear they are pretty good. I did read that the Bandar Seri Begawan airport had improved. Cheers Peter.
  23. Thanks Jim, That's good to know, I have heard good and not so good. I never drink too much on planes it saves getting up to go to the toilet all the time. Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi John, Happy Birthday for yesterday. Hope you had a good day. The layouts coming on well nice work on the points, you will have trains running in no time. All the best Peter.
  25. Hi Simon, Making some good progress on the layout its looking good. Nice weathering on the class 26s and class 47. Your 26037 would look a bit better if you painted the red on the chassis it was missed by Heljan though I think they did it on later models. As you can see by my pic the red did get dirty pretty quick. Cheers Peter.
