Hi Martyn, What a great layout, it really has that Scottish feel to it, with some great looking stock too. The sturgeon are looking good too I quite fancy getting a few myself at some point. The signal looks great, are the post from a kit? Cheers Peter.
  2. Hi Lee, I think this is my first post on this thread though I have been following. Your 7mm 37 looks superb I will get round to doing mine one day. Nice work on the Peak too. Which brings me to my question. I am working on a Bachmann 37 at the moment which will be 37263, I a wondering when you next do a Scottish class 37 could you do a how to, on fitting the car type headlights fitted to the bonnet with small LEDs as 37263 has one fitted. Cheers Peter.
  3. A few more pics. 08695 shunts in the carriage sidings. 97406 runs round it's train. Cheers Peter.
  4. A couple more from the running session. 33010 and 40122 on the stabling point. 45111 is waiting for it's next turn in the middle road. 97406 arrives on a short Speedlink working from Crewe. Cheers Peter.
  5. Thanks Andy, I managed a few Peaks for haulage on the Trans-Pennine trains but not as many as I would have liked. I did get bowled by a class 47 a few times too. The BGs Normally NEAs or NEX did turn up some interesting liveries I have see pics of Inter-City and Scotrail coaches on the services. My class 25 is a Bachmann model so would be the same as yours. I checked your pic of it on your layout. Bachmann do the other body design too though which did have the smaller centre window. A lot of people think the Hornby body is a bit better though. I put the Bachmann chassis under a couple of mine. Cheers Peter.
  6. Thanks Trev, It's always nice to get one of my class 25s on a bit of passenger work. Just had a quick look at your thread great stuff. Will be following from now. Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi Trev, Just been catching up on your thread, the layout is coming on well and you have some great looking stock. I really like the Dutch livery 31s and 37. I used the Hornby buffers from class 31 and 50 on a few of my Bachmann class 37s you can get them as a spare from Peter's Spares. Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi Mark, Nice work on the OBAs I have used the Colin Craig brake discs myself they do look good. Cheers Peter.
  9. Thanks again for all the great feedback and likes. Here are a few more, enjoy. A Chester based 108 class DMU has decided it has done enough for the day. 25109 was spare at Llanbourne and was sent to rescue the failed unit. 25109 is seen arriving with a late running local service to Crewe. The class 25 runs round in platform 4 and is seen waiting to depart then a pic from the road bridge as the train leaves. Cheers Peter.
  10. Thanks Rich, Understated is what I am aiming for, it's far to easy to get carried away with detail some layouts can look a bit overdone. As I always say looking at the real thing is the way to go. Cheers Peter.
  11. Thanks Mark, We are planning to be in Scotland 'Falkirk' Sept 30th to the first 1st Oct then heading up to Inverness on the 2nd we are planning to do Roslin chapel and the Falkirk wheel with hopefully time to see Edinburgh Castle. I am not sure what else their is in town but wouldn't mind going to Hartburn Hamlet model shop. If you are fairly local and I have some spare time we could certainly catch up it would be good to see the layout. Cheers Peter.
  12. Thanks Ben, My fencing is Plastract square rod cut to length with the top rounded off and grey cotton which is superglued to the posts. It takes a bit of time but probably cheaper than the Ratio fence. Cheers Peter.
  13. Thanks for all the comments Guys, I have been posting pics for a few years now and it's still good to get the great feedback. Their is still plenty to do and more stock on the workbench to finish off, but it is nice to play train now and then. A few more pics from the other day. Cheers Peter. A 108 works a local service to Bangor. Shortly after the 108 has cleared the section 47535 storms past on a Trans- Pennine service for York. 45111 sits in the middle road having arrived earlier on the Trans- Pennine service from Bangor which 47535 has worked forwards.
  14. Thanks Phill, I shouldn't have asked as I quite fancy one now. lol I will look forwards to your winter Peak project. Really like the latest pics with the Maroon Western. Cheers Peter.
  15. It's been a while since I ran trains on Llanbourne but I had some time over the weekend to clean the track and run a few. Cheers Peter. 20165 20009 have arrived on the oil train which has been tripped to the oil sidings by 08472. The 20s are waiting in the headshunt to move onto the fuel point. 08472 is shunting at the oil terminal 33010 is on the holding sidings and 08695 is waiting in platform 3 for it next shunt. 40122 is seen arriving with the Summer only service from Stoke.
  16. Always nice to see a few pics Phill. I do like that Peak I am guessing a fair bit of work to improve it from the standard Skytrex model the ones I have seem didn't look right. Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks for the directions guys. I will check out Great Rocks Junction if I have time. Marcus, We are still not sure of itinerary yet but heading to Scotland after Buxton. Will certainly let you know though. Cheers Peter.
  18. Hi Marcus, Just having a quick catch up. The layout is coming on well the new scenics are really bringing it together. The barn looks great. I might get the chance to see the real Peak Forest when I am over in September we are planning a few days at Buxton. Cheers Peter.
  19. Looks good George, Good to see you doing a bit again. Cheers Peter
  20. No worries Rick, Let me know when you have a few dates and we will sort something out. Cheers Peter.
  21. So time for a little update on the goings on at Llanbourne. Lights fitted in the oil sidings. They do have LEDs but I haven't wired them in yet. Chip fitted to my Heljan class 58 radio pods removed, 47636 bogie detail added and ploughs which were a pain to do but look ok. Some pics. Cheers Peter.
  22. Hi Andy, You have done a top job on this layout, I am sure it will sell. I am thinking young George has got you thinking about a 7mm layout?? All the best Peter.
