  1. Hi Trev, A mate of mine on here has done one. Jeff aka SRman has a layout thread I am sure he has done some video of it running. I have seen it on a mates layout and it sounded pretty good to me. Cheers Peter.
  2. Thanks Ian, That's the one I was thinking of. I thought it was a MK 2 though. Cheers Peter.
  3. Oh yes the Conway Crompton. We have spoken about this before Rick, we were both on the same train. I had been drinking for a good part of the day so by the time we were stuck in Ffestiniog tunnel I was passed caring. We did get back to Euston eventually though. lol Cheers Peter.
  4. Agree Trev, I didn't get obsessed with sulzer vs EE, I didn't get into the mileage either. I did almost clear my class 33's though only needed the one. Cheers Peter.
  5. Someone on here has a MK2 with someone Arm waving out the front window can't remember who it is though. It does Looks good. Used to do the old bog roll out the window on the train to school now and then.
  6. Thanks Neil, See you have been busy too. Cheers Peter.
  7. Thanks Jim, I have been running a few trains the last week but back at the workbench in the last few days. I need to get 47636 finished and the class 58 is coming on quite well. Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi Marcus, I was watching a youtube video on class 37 bashers the other day it was well funny. I did a few 37's back in the day the Scottish ones were the best though best run I ever had was 37188 on a Glasgow - Perth train it absolutely flew out of Glasgow and the last minute braking to stop at each station made for a very interesting ride. I was mainly into class 33s and did Peaks when I could. I never knew of any Crompton Bashers tweaking the butterfly but Peak Bashers well I wouldn't put anything past the Peak Army. lol Cheers Peter.
  9. Thanks Lee, We only have you word on that though Lee. lol Thanks Peter.
  10. Thanks Rick, That sounds like a good day the got ruined, to be honest I've not heard of pulling the cord to get the brakes to go on. It seems some of these class 40 bashers are well shifty. Cheers Peter.
  11. I am with Marcus, if you are up for a few requests can we have 37043 on some MK1s or 2s and a class 26 on ballast. Please. Cheers Peter.
  12. I should have known some smarty pants 40 basher would make a comment like that. lol
  13. Probably about time, I know my Mum and Dad have been moaning about the lack of sun. Just to make you feel better it's been raining here today, and was quite cold last week. Cheers Peter.
  14. Hi Adrian, Love that latest pic the 08 looks great, I noticed the bridge sign with the white width gauge if that what it's called. I remember there used to be one on a Bridge in Sway where I lived, even saw a bus stuck under it once. There is a low railway bridge here in Melbourne it gets hit by a truck at least once a week. Even with all the warning signs. Cheers Peter.
  15. Not on a class 47 I think I did it on a class 09 though.
  16. I have been DCC for a few years now and I think I have had my first decoder fail. For the second time my 45103 stopped working, after the first time I just reset the number as it seemed to have lost its Memory. This time no luck, so I wired in a new decoder and gave 45103 a test run on a local ballast working. Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks Marcus, is the weather over there a bit dull then. Cheers Peter.
  18. The farm scene looks great Marcus, Enough pics of tractors now though please it will be buses next. lol Cheers Peter.
  19. Thanks Mate, No rush though your a busy man so just when your doing one will be fine. Cheers Peter.
  20. Hi Trev, I might not get to Swanage but if 201 is working I will certainly try. I am doing a few other pres lines while I am over so wont push my luck. I think 33201 was one of the only ones to get the black lamp irons I think there was a 33/0 that had them for a while too. I had a sleep on a class 47 while waiting to do a shunt at Eastleigh one morning, resting my feet on the cooker to stop it rattling. Cheers Peter. Cheers Peter.
  21. Nice model Trev, I did know it was now at Swanage, I might get a chance for a quick bash when I am over in September. Cheers Peter.
  22. No worries Trev, I am sure you will get there, things always take me longer than I would want. I noticed you are involved with 33201. It's a super loco I had a few miles behind it back in the day. I had 202 and 111 down at Swanage last time I was over too. One of my mates is part owner of 33111. It was my favourite pusher back in the day so it's good that it's still running. Cheers Peter.
  23. Thanks Lee, I actually removed my MU jumper units and used the ones from a Craftsman detail kit. So they are smaller than the Bachmann ones but probably still a bit big. I am happy with the cab windows but the side windows could look better a bit more flush. Lazerglaze do windows for a few loco's but I am not sure if they do a class 40 yet. I used a set in my Heljan 33/1 and they are very good but not cheap. Cheers Peter.
  24. Thanks Simon, I spent plenty of time on the front step of 08 09s back in the day so had to have a few nice grubby ones for Llanbourne. Cheers Peter.
  25. Stunning, those TEAs behind that 56 just spot on. Not sure what you can do about the Hornby Coupler set up I still need to look at mine. All the Best Peter.
