  1. Thanks Lee, Tell you what I sometimes wonder why I bother and it's getting harder to do as the old eyes aren't as good as they used to be. I am looking forwards to having a go at detailing my 7mm class 26. I just need to do a few more 4mm diesels first. Cheers Peter.
  2. Hi all hope everyone had a good Christmas, I was wondering the other day why it seems to take me so long to get a loco finished. Well it's all the extra bits that take the time, speedo cables loco crew etc. The crew on this model have taken time as I have chopped them about a bit. Anyway chassis weathered today nearly there. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Phill, We did thanks, went for a swim down the beach Christmas eve and Christmas day as it was really hot. Raining today though. I think 7mm will start to take of more now since Dapol released their 08 as its created a lot of interest. Some mates over here are getting into 7mm having bought themselves Dapol 08s. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Kevin, Love the boat, it was great to see the layout during the year and have a good catch up. Merry Christmas cheers Peter.
  5. Thanks Rick, Will have to sort something in the new year. Cheers Peter.
  6. Thanks Andy, Grew up in Sway so know it well, hasn't had snow like that for years though. Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi mate, Had to find my book so sorry it took a few days. The pic was taken on 16.5.90. Cheers Peter.
  8. Merry Christmas Ian, Glad all went well with the move, hope you can get back on line soon. All the Best Peter.
  9. Merry Christmas everyone. All the Best Peter. A festive pic from back in the day. A class 47 kicks up the snow as it passes through Sway on the daily Speedlink.
  10. The layout is looking great Stu, Love that Scottish Duff. Merry Christmas Cheers Peter.
  11. No worries Paul, I think it's the only pic I got of 73005 in that livery. Cheers Peter.
  12. Hi Paul, Always nice to see a few pics of the layout, it's looking great. 73005 is looking good too. Pic below shows 73005 on an Eastleigh to Marchwood MOD train. Cheers Peter.
  13. Hi Trev, Nice pics real and model. I only got up to Barnetby a few times but it was well worth it. My brother drives for DBS and is gutted with whats been going on. He is quite safe at Eastleigh but it looks like they have sold all the 08s so it will make shunting Eastleigh yard more difficult, plus the other week DBS hired in some Colas drivers to work some trains due a them not having drivers to cover some jobs. Makes you wonder whats going on. Cheers Peter.
  14. Thanks Mark, I started to put the windows back in the class 31 tonight and it seems I have lost one of the cabside windows. I will have another look tomorrow but not happy with myself for losing them. I have started work on the underframes so have been fitting pipework etc. Cheers Peter.
  15. Thanks for your reply Rob, The brass kit does look better than my resin one but I will build it eventually as I think it will look ok when done. It's good to know I can get transfers for it. Cheers Peter.
  16. Thanks Alex, Hope you are well, thought you might like the class Scottish 47. It's been a while since I had one on Llanbourne. Cheers Peter. Thanks Mate. Just need to get them finished. lol Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks Trev, The old Peds certainly got a bit grubby, I saw a pic of 31323 and just had to do it. Cheers Peter.
  18. First of all what a great layout. Can I ask what kit is the VDA? I have an Model Express resin one with no instruction. so any info on your build could be of use. Cheers Peter.
  19. Hi Marcus, Just catching up, The new shed and hard standing area look great. The wagons look pretty good too nice weathering. I remember seeing 37798 when I worked at Eastleigh. Pic below was taken on the day Mainline Freight was launched. The other pic was taken about a month before. Cheers Peter.
  20. Thanks Andrew, All you need to do is add a few tops numbers to your class 33 and 73. lol Cheers Peter.
  21. Thanks Marcus, The red stripe loco's wont be as dirty as 31323, as red stripe liv was still quite new in 87. Cheers Peter.
  22. Thanks Andy, As I was saying it seems to have taken ages to get this far but both loco's are well on the way to be finished, just the chassis detailing and drivers to get on with. Cheers Peter.
  23. Thanks Peter, Good to see you at the meeting yesterday. I am quite happy with them but it's seems to have taken ages to get them this far. Cheers Peter.
