  1. Hi Chris, My parcels stock is a bit of a mix but the Blue Grey BG in the class 40 hauled train is a Replica model with flush glaze windows fitted. The other vans Are renumbered Lima GUVs some of these have been repainted and re branded for Newspapers. All my Lima vans have had the Lima bogies replaced with Mainline or Bachmann MK1 bogies with correct size 14mm wheels. Cheers Peter.
  2. Hi Andrew, I did, I used the A1 models etch. Cheers Peter.
  3. Thanks Alan, Plenty of blue diesels here. They still out number any other livery. Cheers Peter.
  4. Evening Andy, A balmy 32 degrees here. I have a few more to post up Andy don't worry. Cheers Peter.
  5. A few more pics from the other day. Cheers Peter. 97407 has just left Town yard and will trip the HEAs to South yard for unloading. 97407 arrives at South Yard. More class 40 action with D200 passing the yard on a van train from Manchester. Having run round and pushed back to detach one van D200 waits to leave plat 4. 45029 waits to leave plat 3 on a Trans-Pennine working to Holyhead. D200 gets the power down as it heads for Bangor. 25244 comes off the Branch with a flask train. Pic seem to have come out in the wrong order but you will get the jist.
  6. Hi John, Thanks for the extra info. I have just remembered I was going to send you an article on 25912 I will dig it out this week. Cheers Peter.
  7. Thanks for the great feedback guys, Now about that signal. What can I say a bit of a brain fart there. My only excuse is that it's over 20 years since I worked on the railway. I did get 100% on my Shunters exam though. The section arm should be the one that is off. the Distant can only be off if the section arm is off correct. Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi Alan, It would have been worth it, I fired up the BBQ so you wouldn't have gone home hungry. lol Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Andy, I think that would work, bridge idea sounds good too. Oh and that low level shot of 3635 is just superb. Cheers Peter.
  10. 97407 ex 40012 sits in Llanbourne Town Yard. Cheers Peter.
  11. So the running session went well on Saturday, considering the layout hasn't run in a while it was a good excuse to have a tidy up round the garage and vac the layout to remove the spider webs. I didn't take many pics on the day but I did run some trains Sunday so here are a few pics. Cheers Peter. Well it had to happen. 37032 finds itself on the FSO Manchester- Bangor. 25912 follows on a ballast. 97407 arrives at Llanbourne South Yard on some Grampus wagons, the loco pulls forward to the headshunt then sets back into the yard. 108 DMU arrives on a local service from Holyhead. and is seen shortly after on it's way to Chester. 101 DMU follows the 108 out of the station on a local service to Bangor. 31323 leaves Llanbourne on a Ballast for Carnforth. Two Peaks sit on the holding sidings. 97407 has arrived LE from South Yard and is going to be used to trip some HEAs back to South Yard. The loco should have gone on shed but the yard 08 has failed so as 97407 was already running and will be spare for an hour or so it's going to be borrowed.
  12. Hi Jeff, I found a class 25 water tank in the spares box if yo want it. Cheers Peter,
  13. Hi Andy, I think you are onto a winner here mate, The only thing I am not sure about is the short brake van siding. You have a nice scenic break between the layout and fiddleyard too. All the best with this one, Cheers Peter.
  14. Hi Rich, Nice set of pics, I do like 47636 I recently finished a 4mm model of 636 myself. Can't beat a Scottish Duff with ploughs. Cheers Peter.
  15. Ha ha I always sleep well after a bit of woodwork. Take care Peter.
  16. I had forgotten about my request for 043. Thanks for reminding me. lol 47550 look very nice too nice work. I just noticed that you haven't fitted the brake gear to the bogies, there should be 4 on each each corner of the bogie the parts should be in the detail pack. Cheers Peter.
  17. Hi Andy, Looks like you finally have it all sorted, It looks great now get some sleep. lol Cheers Peter.
  18. Hi Jeff, Looks like you have been busy. The type twos make a nice line up. I will have a look in my spares box I think I have a water tank from a class 25. Cheers Peter.
  19. Thanks Mate, I will pay attention next time you do a bufferbeam conversion. I will contact Pete and see if I can get one. I have a few Scottish 37s on my to do list 418 being one. Nice choice on 188 I had haulage on that back in the day. We had a really fast run with full power on departing each stop. Cheers Peter.
  20. Hi Dave, More great pics and the coaches looks good but lets have a pic of the Railfreight class 26 hauling the train what a beast. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hi Guys, Hattons have them as a pre order so not out just yet. While I am here if anyone wants to come down this way on Saturday Afternoon I am having a bit of a running session. It's a bit short notice but the weather is going to be cooler so thought I would take the opportunity to clean the tracks and run some trains. Drop me a PM if you are interested. Cheers Peter.
  22. Hi Lee, The sound in that class 37 is superb. Love that class 31 too very nice. On your 7mm 37s do you always use PHD bufferbeam kit or do you make up your own? Thanks Peter.
