  1. Hi Damian, 26/0s also had oval buffers when built and different bogie springs. But by the 80s some had round buffers and some loco's had bogie swaps and were running with later bogies. Cheers Peter.
  2. Hi Phill, Looks like you had a good shopping spree at the Telford show. Your Peak is looking very good I really need to do more to mine. Cheers Peter.
  3. Layout looks fine don't stress. Nothing like a deadline to channel your modelling skills.
  4. No worries, Mine plays up a bit, it's always a worry it might lead to something worse. Good to get a sick note though a modelling ban sucks. lol Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Cav, Layout is looking really good, sorry to hear about the back giving you trouble again. All the best Peter.
  6. Hi Simon, I enjoyed the latest video and the Grid on steel looks great too. I have been looking at DCWA class 50 and it seems some had the sticker under the window and some didn't. I am still not sure if it was under all windows or not. Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi Mark, Nice Scene, we get Mr Portillo on TV here. It's a pretty good show. Keep the updates coming it's always nice to see a few pics. Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi Ken, This layout is now on the back burner so to speak. I have started a 7mm project which is something I have wanted to do for some time so once thats done I will look at doing this again. 37425 rolled into the station while we were in the buffet eating bacon and egg rolls waiting for a train to Oban. Glad I took the pic though 37425 is on the to do list too. Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Simon, It's about halfway down the 1st page. Loco is at Exeter St Davids on a Waterloo service. Thanks for the link. Just spent 20 mins checking it out, some superb pics including 50018 on what would have to be an unfitted freight. I have seen other pics of the Glouchester Bescot working always seemed to have some interesting wagon combo's including ex works class 08s. Looking forwards to seeing this train appear on Pendeford Sidings. Cheers Peter.
  10. Hi Simon, Yep my bad. Had a look on Flickr after work. looks like 045 was one of the later ones to be painted in the NSE colours but was certainly a DCWA machine for a while as there are pics of it on ballast and one pic showing the DCWA sticker under the cab window. Cheers Peter.
  11. Hi Somon. Pretty sure 045 was in NSE liv in the late 80s. Cheers Peter
  12. Hi Phill, Just catching up. The GUV is coming on really well, I am likeing the Western too not seen pre shading before so will follow with interest. Thought you had more than 3 westerns though. Did you sell one? Cheers Peter.
  13. Sorry Stu, Missed your post. Pretty sure they were done in 85. Cheers Peter.
  14. Thanks Roge, Not sure about lightning rate more slow plod. But I do try and do something at least once a week. A few hours here and there soon adds up. Cheers Peter.
  15. Hi Roge, Just found your layout thread, superb job really looks great. Good luck with the backscene. Cheers Peter.
  16. Thanks Ian, The mid 80s was when I was out and about taking pics and getting haulage so it's what I have tried to recreate. Cheers Peter.
  17. A bit out of my time period but bought the Hornby red white and blue one. Always liked this livery. Cheers Peter.
  18. Just remembered my class 108 with headcode has DMU destination blinds by Lithoplan. Cheers Peter.
  19. No worries Jeff, Glad the bits will be of use to you. Would never have guessed that etch was GWR. Be nice if you can get the other bits for it. Cheers Peter.
  20. 47418 works an Inter-City train past the carriage sidings.
  21. Hi Nick, The 150 was just made up on the Computer and printed off. My 108s and 101s have Modelmaster transfers. I think the sheet is Midland DMU destinations. I did have to chop and change a few to get enough but Holyhead Bangor and Chester are on the sheet. Cheers Peter.
  22. Hi Alex, Good to hear from you. It's funny you know I was just replying to a PM and the subject of your transfers came up another happy customer so don't worry. I dropped into my mates tonight to tweek the shed but I should have something to show in a week or two. Cheers Peter.
  23. No worries Rich, Too cold out in the garage tonight so was on the laptop when your question came through. Should have time Sunday so no problem. Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi Rich, The Kadee's are attached to the chassis and not the bogie. This does limit the minimum curve. The curve in the tunnel on Llanbourne is tighter than 30". I did play around with how far out to set the Kadee so they don't get buffer lock. I will take a few pics over the weekend and hopefully it will explain what I have done. Cheers Peter.
