  1. No worries Dave, It's easier to use the Samsung than the i phone to upload pics/video's from what I have worked out though I am sure your daughter can help you out mine did. I am sure there is better quality video out there too I am still not a 100% happy with the quality of mine they look better on my phone screen than my laptop though that is getting quite old now. Cheers Peter.
  2. Hi Dave, The video function on my DSLR is rubbish though it is a few years old now. The Video's are just taken with my phone. The early ones where my iphone 4s but since I broke that one I have a Samsung G8 I just put the phone on the layout record the train going past then load the pics onto my laptop into My Pictures then load them up to you tube. I don't even edit them I am too lazy. Cheers Peter.
  3. Thanks Richard & Mark. When I built the new bit I decided the curve had to be as long as I could get away with. I am quite happy with how it has turned out. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi, I have just been checking out your class 08 it looks superb. Now following your progress on this as I have a Pete Harvey etch to do my split box loco. Is the bufferbeam etch easy to fold up and attach to the chassis? Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Jinty, Nice work on the brake van and 37s , 015 looks a like a real beast. Cheers Peter.
  6. Thanks Jeff. I might have a play with a few recents pics and put some up. Cheers Peter.
  7. Thanks Simon, I saw a few of the Canton 37/4s back in the day, in 86-7 they were still in fairly good condition. Cheers Peter.
  8. Thanks Andy, still getting bits done the shed is taking a while to do. But I have been playing trains in the last few weeks. Cheers Peter.
  9. Thanks Mate, the shed is sirt if based on the one that uswd to be at Holyhead. Plan is to do a flat type roof. Cheers Peter.
  10. I actually took the DSLR out to the garage the other day so here are a few pics. 25904 & 25912 side by the shed. Still plenty of work to be done on the shed building but it coming together quite well.
  11. Another great video Simon, your fleet is growing well too. Nice to see your Peak on some class 1 passenger work I presume the Poole - Newcastle? Cheers Peter.
  12. Hi Simon, Your wagons are looking good as is the class 56. Try Peter's Spares for a detail pack He has quite a lot of Hornby spares. Pics below show the underside of my class 40. I have put small bits of plasticard in several places along the bottom of the body which are only about 2mm wide. They clip over the bottom of the chassis as when sitting the right height the body overlaps the chassis. Hope that helps. Cheers Peter.
  13. Another video showing 31149 working a flask train. Cheers Peter.
  14. It is a bit, depending on time I can pick you up from Frankston though. I am sure we can sort something one of these days. Cheers Peter.
  15. Hi Rob, I am liking the look of this one. will be following from now on. Cheers Peter.
  16. Thanks John, You are welcome to drop by if you have time when you come down to Melbourne. Hope you had a good trip to Scotland, we love our visits up there. Cheers Peter.
  17. DMU departing Llanbourne on a local service to Chester. 31403 departs on a TPO train for Holyhead. 25912 on a trip working to Llanbourne South Yard. 25224 departs Llanbourne on the return Speedlink working to Warrington. Cheers Peter.
  18. Some pics and video. Having cleaned the track for visitors last week I have been running a few trains.
  19. Hi Peter, Not sorted yet. Going to try and swap decoder with the one in my other sound class 33. See what happen's after that. Cheers Peter.
  20. Hi Jeff and Thanks, 25901 is now running again, the reset didn't seem to work the first time but after doing it again and setting up the address a different number came up so I typed in 2590 and entered that and away it went. Also 31403 now has working lights I changed CV29 to 34 and all is good the loco still jumps a bit when first pulling away at speed step 1 or 2 but I think thats the Hornby loco rather than decoder. I will change CV29 on my 150 Sprinter too as the lights on that have a mind of their own too. My other sound fitted class 31 has no lights at all at the moment because they where flicking on and off as well and while checking the wiring I broke one off so I will have to have another look at that. Cheers Peter.
  21. To be honest I can't remember. The body is quite a tight fit, I think I added some plasticard on the metal chassis close to where the Lima body clips are. I will check it in the next day of two at let you know. Cheers Peter.
  22. Thanks Jeff, How do I change the speed steps?I did notice when Peter's railroad class 40 with fitted lights was running it was doing the same as the class 31 and was fine on his test track. and how do i do a decoder reset. Sorry I am a bit of a Noob when it comes to this DCC malarkey. Cheers Peter.
  23. I have been doing a bit to the layout in recent weeks as over the weekend the BRMA had it's convention in Melbourne. I didn't go to the main day but helped a mate run his Southern terminus and a small show on Sunday. Llanbourne was open to visitors on the Monday. I only had six people call in but I had a good day running trains with a couple of mates than had come over. The layout ran well but I have two more DDC problems. My Hornby class 31 that I fitted with a TTS sound decoder now has light that will not turn off and when I increase the speed the lights go off and off at each speed step. More of a worry is my class 25 with V3.5 sound chip with biffo files has stopped working. I put it on the track put the number in and it started to move on it's own I lifted it off the track now it will not run at all though the sound does work it just ticks over. Any help gratefully received. Cheers Peter.
  24. Thanks Neil, I have been working on my loco shed so will posy up pics when I get the chance. Cheers Peter.
