  1. Well it been a while since any updates and to be honest nothing much is happening at the moment as I am working on my 4mm stock. But I have made a start on my Heljan OAA. I thought the chain that comes with the model looked to big so I have added some smaller chain from the spares box. I am also after a favour. I need some C&L fishplates part number 7FP101A. The C&L website isn't really set up for overseas ordering. I can pay via paypal if anyone can help. Thanks Peter.
  2. Hi Rich, Good to hear that Llanbourne gives you some inspiration, seems like you are getting your mojo back. Glad you like the pics just goes to prove it's not always hot and sunny here. Happy if you want to send some heat over though I am a bit over the winter. Just a few pics of the finished Mk1s and MK2s and a few other things on the workbench. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Duncan, Just found your thread, Super stuff I just had a quick look at the pics on flickr too. I only went to Shirebrook a few times and always thought it would make a good model. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Rich, I am going ok thanks, weather hasn't been as cold as some winters but still cold enough, it's been quite windy recently too and showers coming across the bay. As I keep telling my Mum and Dad enjoy the heat while you can as it will probably turn crap next week. Though I understand you must be a bit over it as most houses don't have Air con so you can't really get away from the heat. I haven't touched Llanbourne for a while now. but have been busy on the workbench. Last time I ran Llanbourne I went through the timetable and it reminded me I needed a rake of coaches for a second Cardiff-Crewe- Holyhead set plus a few MK2s to make up a short set for Manchester - Bangor service that I run. Five MK1s have now been finished. Two MK2s await weathering and while I was in the mood to do a few coaches I tarted up an old Lima Trans-Pennine coach by adding flush glazing, an old Dapol MK2d has also been worked on and needs some final weathering. Two loco's have been worked on too. Both have been in bits for well over a year 33008 is still a little way off as is 27005 but I am making good progress at the moment. Cheers Peter.
  5. Nice work on the Ped Lee, complete with toughened window frame. Cheers Peter.
  6. I am 99% sure that while in regular service and based at Eastleigh 33/1s did not have ploughs fitted. Later on i think 33116 had them fitted while it was being used on railtours. Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi Salty, Some nice looking stock on here I really like that Peak, it was one of the last ones I saw back in 88. Used to see the 33/1s a fair bit back in the day. must admit I liked the Dutch livery over the grey. Pic below shows 33103 at Eastleigh depot. Cheers Peter.
  8. Thanks Jamie, The old BR blue days does seem such a long time ago. I just glad I took a few pics back in the day. Cheers Peter.
  9. The Mk1s and 2s are now back together and just need some final weathering. Cheers Peter.
  10. Hi Andy, I am liking the latest pics and video. I guess you will make the most of playing trains until the layout goes to it's new home. Cheers Peter.
  11. I have posted this before but you might like this one. Cheers Peter.
  12. Glad you are enjoying the latest pics Alex. Still plenty to scan and post up. Cheers Peter.
  13. Looking Good Alex. I have uploaded a few pics to flickr which might interest you. Cheers Peter.
  14. Thanks Andy, that looks like a great little controller, not sure I want to get rid of my Powercab just yet though. Cheers Peter.
  15. I do like a class 25 so looking forwards to seeing these when they come out. Though And I know they have their faults I wont be getting rid of my Bachmann models. There are plenty of pics of 25912 on flickr but this one of mine might be of use Ben. Something worth noting is one side step is plated over the other two where either never plated over of have had the plate removed. Cheers Peter.
  16. Hi Andy, Hope you are enjoying the nice warm weather. Cold and wet here in Oz. Young David has done a great job on your Rat, she sounds good too. Which brings me to my question. I believe you use a Gaugemaster controller? Reason I ask is I am looking at putting sound into my Peak and class 20 and I am being told my NCE powercab might not have the Amps required. Have you had any problems with your controller? Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks Mate correct on the location. The date was 9.6.92. Cheers Peter.
  18. Hi Alex. Nice to see a bit of progress on the depot. I have Biffs sounds in a few of my 37s it really is quite good. Cheers Peter.

Nice work on the new trackwork Martyn. Cheers Peter.
  20. Thanks Andy, I really like the Dogfish and Catfish they are a great looking model. The OAA sits a bit high so I will remove the springs and also paint the befferbeams and buffers black I don't remember seeing any with red buffers. Cheers Peter.
  21. Not much happening with the 7mm at the moment but a friend is interested in how I have done the traverser so I will post up a few pics here although it's not finished yet. I have the track to put down but I am going to paint it first. A few new items of stock have arrived recently too, thanks to the Hattons sale. I had wanted a few Dogfish and Catfish so was well please to be able to get a few. I think I might paint one of the Dogfish in the Dutch livery if I can get the hopper off. Cheers Peter.
  22. Always good to see some pics Dave. The 150 looks great. Cheers Peter.
  23. This workbench is well overdue an update so here goes. Llanbourne has been short a 5 coach rake of MK1s for some time now, and after the last running session I thought it was time to crack on with the project. I have also made a start on two MK2s which will be swapped into the MK1 rake to make up a short 4 or 5 coach set which will be used on a Manchester Bangor loco hauled service. The 5 coach rake will form the second Holyhead - Crewe, Cardiff set. Two coaches from this set will also be used in an early morning Pass/van working which uses a BSK and an SK. Work done so far. MK1s .Pull coaches apart remove steps on coach ends and add handrails where needed. file down ribs on coach roofs open some windows and get the no smoking signs on the windows in the correct locations, add curtains to the first class compartments and renumber using replica rub on numbers. Paint interiors The Mk2s have had less work but I have removed the Battery boxes and filed them down so they don't sit as low. Also renumbered No Smoking signs sorted and interiors painted. Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi Kevin, The latest layout pics are great. I do like that 07 I saw a model in the yellow livery yesterday they do look very nice. Cheers Peter.
