  1. Hi Jon, I noticed a clean 37426 on your thread, that could be the go. During the sector period Crewe did a few Res 47s and I am sure Iv'e seen a pic of a triple grey 56 on test. Cheers Peter,
  2. No worries mate, will catch up at a later date, hope you have a good day. Cheers Peter,
  3. Hi Rick, Looks like you have been busy, those station lights do look good. I really like those not so silver bullets as you say they have got to be some of the best weathered RTR I have seen, glad to hear they are bringing out more, you need more than 3. I am quite tempted to get a few myself, I used to see them at Eastleigh a fair bit on the Quidhampton train, BRMA at Endeavour Hills Saturday if you are interested. Cheers Peter,
  4. Hi John, Great pics, I like those 27s, I will have to come up, I need 27105 for haulage. Cheers Peter,
  5. Hi Dave, No worries, I had forgotten about that post, Thanks. Cheers Peter,
  6. Thanks for that , I hadn't seen that before. Cheers Peter,
  7. Hi Jon, The Gateshead plaques do look good, I was quite suprised to see how many duffs had them. I have done a 37/5 in ex works to run with a 33 but they don't run well together so I might try a 47. I do have a 56 to do but I am not happy with how it runs, it seems to wobble about a bit. I am sure I have seen some of your locos fairly clean, you could get away with a bit of dirt. Just noticed your last post thanks for the link. Cheers Peter,
  8. Hi Doug, Yes I had noticed them, though I was planning to put some in the new carriage sidings when I start the senics. Cheers Peter,
  9. Hi Larry, Thanks for posting the pics, I have a book on 33s which has your pic of 33021 but in colour, it will come in handy for reference when I do my station roof. Your pic of 37503 is taken from a good spot, Iv'e not seen a pic from there before. Cheers Peter,
  10. Thanks guys, Even the smallest amount of weathering makes a difference. I remember the Crewe works visit, i think it was a 47/4 with smashed front end but not 418. Cheers Peter,
  11. Hi Alex, Looking great, its cool when you find something just working out and saving you time. Looks like you have a few more 20s, have you been out spending. Cheers Peter,
  12. 47418 has a rest from passenger duties and is seen shunting ballast wagons at Llanbourne prior to departing to Penmaenmawr. Cheers Peter,
  13. Thanks Trevellan, I am glad you like it, I still have plenty to do but comments like yours help to spur me on. Thanks Jon, I like the railfreight 20s I still have a headcode fitted loco to do, though I want to do one with orange line next time. Hi Larry, I was asked the other week why I had chosen to model North Wales. My answer was where else in the UK could you run 33s one of my favourite locos with 20s 25s 31s 45s and 40s during this time 37s weren't common but I have used my modellers licence as in 1989 there was a 37 hauled Cardiff- Rhyl train, Llanbourne isn't long enough for freightliners or MGRs so I borrowed an oil train from Mid Wales so I can run 20s. I also use 20s on summer dated passenger trains. The 40s were a must as I didn't get to see many, so when I did it was a real treat. I was lucky enough to see three class 40 with their departmental 97 numbers, so far I have only done 40012 (97407) but 2 others are on the todo list. Cheers Peter,
  14. Hi Beast, On my todo list this year, and hopefully signals for the extension. Cheers Peter,
  15. Thanks mate, And yes 47418 with Gateshead crest came off the workbench last week I am quite happy with it, 47106 is next. Cheers Peter,
  16. Hi Chris, I checked the class 25 and I did remove the NEM coupler box, I have also taken a pic of the class 20 for you, I forgot that I removed some of the chassis so that the ploughs could be glued to the bufferbeam. Two other pics show 08472 on the blocks and a 33 runs round it's train. Cheers Peter,
  17. Hi Rick, That looks great, very illuminating. Cheers Peter,
  18. Hi Brian, The warflats and vehicles look great, used to see them daily when I worked up Eastleigh Yard. The 27 kit looks good I didn't now they came with glazing, nice. I will have another look at your thread next week as you will probably have it almost finshed by then. Cheers Peter,
  19. Hi Chris, I know I had to cut off the NEM box on the class 20 but I am not sure about the 25. I will have a look for you, I will try and get a few pics and post in the next few days. Cheers Peter,
  20. Hi Chris, Welcome aboard, the ploughs on my 20s 25 and class 33 are all Heljan ones, though the class 33 ploughs are slightly different. The ploughs on the 20s and 25 are class 47 ones bought from Howes Models as a spare part, they have been out of stock for a while. The ploughs are fitted to the body or chassis and a hole for the Kadee is cut into the ploughs, I do have a fairly sharp corner on Llanbourne which hasn't been a problem, I think I am right on the limit though. I am planning on doing a class 47 with ploughs but this is a longer loco so may be a problem. Peter Harvey does a nice looking plough etch so they may be worth a look. Best advice I can give you is give it a go. Cheers Peter,
  21. Thanks chaps, I will have a go at removing the BR sign during the week, I've been playing trains today. Cheers Peter,
  22. Thanks guys, Glad you had a good time, I managed to fix the point blade after you left, only took about twenty minutes so not as bad as I thought. Here are a few pics, once the point was fixed I ran a few more trains. Pictures, 1, Numberplates now fitted to the Bedford van. 2,45141 and 47418 wait to leave on Tran-Pennine trains. 3, 47418 was finished during the week, here she is on a working to Bangor. 4, 08695 sits in platform 1 waiting to depart with ECS for the carriage sidings. 5,20023 and 20154 wait to depart to Stanlow with an oil train. 6,20154 and 20023 depart to Stanlow. 7,8, 101 DMU departs on a local working to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Cheers Peter,
  23. Hi Graham, I am happy with Llanbourne but if was going to start again I would try and do a proper location. I think it was Jim s w who said its a lot easier just copying a place rather that making it up and trying to get it to look right. Cheers Peter,
  24. Hi Merfyn, Sorry about doing away with Llandudno Jct, I am sure you would have the same job at Llanbourne but with more money. Thanks for the pic and info on the buses it is a nice livery but I will save my money and try and hunt down some EFE Nationals. I can use the transfers from the kit. Thanks Peter,
  25. Hi Mark, The road vehicles are somthing that I need to get on top of, one of many jobs to do. The Great Ocean Road is nice, we head down that way most years and go to Warrnabool when the Southern Right Wales come in to calf. There is a nice railway station to. Cheers Peter,
