  1. Thanks Kevin, It's the NCE powercab that I have been thinking of getting, my main worry was the control of locos as the powercab has a wheel type controller and not a knob like I have with my old Gaugemaster. Cheers Peter.

  3. 47613 is ready to depart from platform 3 with the 12.35 1V81 SO to Paddington. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Kevin, Unfortunatly I don't have a sound fitted class 31 it was my friends. Llanbourne is not DCC yet, but I have been thinking about it. My friend does use Howes and has had some of his stuff reblown. I had a quick look through your thread to see what DCC system you use as I have been looking for something that would work well with Llanbourne, and the fact that like Leaford it's an end to end layout and I would be changing locos a fair bit. Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Kevin, Thanks for the info on your Ped it does seem Howes sound chips are the go, I asked because a freind of mine has the Hornby factory sound fitted one and we both think it doesn't really capture the sound. I remember see a blue 31 at Eastleigh in the early 80s I have a grainy pic somewere. During 1990-1 while I was working up Eastleigh East Yard I saw a Railfreight grey 31 arrive on oil train, it was uncoupled and went back LE straight away. Cheers Peter.
  6. Hi Natalie, Thanks, An LNWR signalbox is planned for 2011, Merfyn posted some pics of the Llandudno box for me a few pages back so I will have a go at building one similar to that. Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi Kevin, Well done on getting in Model Rail, I haven't seen it yet though, probably won't get here until late January. Love the Ped always liked them in railfreight red stripe. Did it come with Hornby sound or did you fit it youself? Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi Dave, The DMU looks great, I like the the extra work you have done on the Shove Duff I think I need to weather my Inter City one a bit more, looks like you have done the wiper marks on the windows too.B) Cheers Peter.
  9. Thanks Alex, it seems to be working now. nice bit of class 20 thrash that I watched some of the other clips while I was there. I think a pair might turn up at Llanbourne in the next few days. Thanks Jamie. Cheers Peter.
  10. Thanks Darren, I think you did well reading all 31 pages, hopefully you saw some progress. I am working on two class 47s at the moment hopefully I will get them done before the end of the year. Cheers Peter.
  11. Glad you had a good time, I was a member of the club until I left the uk in 1995. I always found them to be a good bunch of chaps and caught up with a few of the members when I was over in Feb. Cheers Peter.
  12. Thornaby based class 31323 is a long way from home, and is seen on the 7K11 ballast from Penmaenmwar, the loco loco will run round at the station and depart for Crewe at 10.25. Cheers Peter.
  13. Thanks Alex, I haven't managed to get the link to work yet, but I will keep trying. Cheers Peter.
  14. Hi Mark, There is a thread on 105 s in the prototype section and Bruce has added some nice pics of 105s at Haymarket one shows a blue grey power car I think. I must admit a blue grey 105 was a new one on me. Cheers Peter.
  15. Hi Grimley, The shed is coming on really well, B) I am not sure how you haven't been tempted to start weathering the 20s and 58s though. Cheers Peter.
  16. Hi Dave, The 105 does look good, and you have pipework on this one. Cheers Peter.
  17. Nice pics of model and real class 37/4 I do like the DRS livery. Only last week I painted some white tyre slip marks on a Bachmann 47 I am doing definitely worth having a go at it. Cheers Peter.
  18. Hi Bruce, Thanks for that, I do remember seeing the video with class 27 arriving now, I think the 26 is running up behind the train in that clip. I just thought the 26 was arriving from somewhere light engine. I was never lucky enough to get a class 26 on a service train though I am happy I got a few class 27s on the Dundee trains just wish I had done it more often i may have had a class 26. as it looks like they were used a bit when they were short of class 27s. Cheers Peter.
  19. Hi Bruce, Another superb video, I do love that class 26 thrash. I have a question though. Is the clss 26 at Kirkcaldy terminating then leaving with ECS as I noticed it only has the dummy when leaving? I notice a class 27 in the background does that go onto the train for the return working? Cheers Peter.
  20. Hi James, 37013 looks great, problem is you need to do your other 37s now. It's one of the problems with model railways I find if you add extra detail to one loco in the class you have to go through the others and improve them, sometimes feels like you are going backwards, when you think you have finished a model and you end up pulling it to bits to add more detail. Cetainly worth doing though. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hi Mark, The lights are a good idea, 37425 looks good on those tanks too. I bet you can't wait to get your autoballasters the pics I have seen of them look superb. I do run an oil train on Llanbourne though technically they are the wrong ones as mine are Esso TTAs and Stanlow was a Shell depot it would be nice to run a few black ones though, Maybe in the Speedlink or separate train. Cheers Peter.
  22. Hi Neil, Thats a shame about the meeting, we will have to try and catch up before with Christmas. The rodding stuff is by Evergreen .020x.020 part number 120. Cheers Peter.
  23. Thanks Grimley, When I first started spotting all we had down our way was class 33s 47s and 73s so I sort of grew up with them always around, then later on when I worked as shunter I was seeing them everyday plus I managed to ride in a few. One of the main reasons for choosing North Wales to base my layout on was the fact that I could run 33s with lots of other classes. As you know I quite like Peaks as well, and 25s and 40s spent some of there last days on the coast. Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi Mark, Thanks mate, glad you like the Cromptons and BG I have a few of them though the one in the last pic is the dirtiest. Yes Bournemouth used to be quite busy and thre was usually a Crompton or two knocking about though 33/1s were more common, still think I might get one. Eastleigh was always good for 33s I remember getting around the depot on Sundays back in the late 80s, always heaps on shed. Cheers Peter.
