  1. Hi Leon, Just been catching up on your thread, the layout is looking great.B) I like the pic with the class 60 on the tanks. I really like those wagons but can't really get away with using them on Llanbourne. Your greenery looks ok to me, but I found toning it down by dry brushing a bit of pale yellow or light brown paint might help. I often add greenery and leave it for a few days then end up removing a few bits. Cheers Peter.
  2. Hi Jeff, No worries, you may find as you develop the layout you have more room and can add a siding or whatever. I was just worried you might get bored if all you can do on the mainline is run trains around. Cheers Peter.
  3. Thanks Scott, During the early 90s there were still a few banger blue 47s about, you could do a nice Tinsley namer. I used to see them all over the place. Thanks Graham, That will be the last class 47 I do for a while, as I said before I am hopping to get a bit done on the layout this year. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Jeff, Ok, but just a thought, ( yes it did hurt) what if you removed a couple of underground lines through the station then that would give you room to have a high level mainline station joining the underground, I remember seeing a layout years ago with something like it, I will have a look for you. Sorry to put a spanner in the works but it might be worth a look. Cheers Peter.
  5. Thanks Jeff, Here is another pic of the loco on the mainline. Cheers Peter.
  6. Thanks guys, Hi Rich, The next 47s will be Large Logo which I must admit is a livery i like myself. Plan is to do a Scottish one and another Crewe based machine. Hi Alex, To be honest the old Spoooooons werer never a favourite of mine though they did grow on me a bit when I was working on the railway, they did seem to be able to do anything and they were quite comfortable to have a snooze in. Hi Mark, 2010 was really the year for class 47s I sort of got on a bit of a roll with them and keeped going, I should take a pic of them all. your Cumbrian layout plans sound good, ideal for running your BR blue and the later DRS stuff the area didn't change much over the years so it should work well. Next of the workbench will be a blue grey TPO then its onto buildings and work on the layout. Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi Jeff, Layout looks good so far, are you going to have a station on the mianline of just for the underground trains? Cheers Peter.
  8. Only me, Just a couple of pics of 47561, I now have 47106, 47418, 47515, 47535, 47561, and 47613 available for service on Llanbourne. I chose 561 as it was a Crewe allocated loco and the only one so far. I still need to get a Bachmann detail pack as 561 only has the extra bogie detail bits on one bogie, as only four came in the pack, 47561 started life as Bachmanns 47035 and has had the boiler port filled in and underfreame tanks swapped over from 47515 which started life as 47612. Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Keith, I finished 47561 last night so will post up a few pics when it has cooled down out in the garage, we are having a few hot days at the moment. Haven't touched the extension for a while but it all runs well and I am not planning to rip up the track again, so I might get on with some senics this year along with some other layout projects. Cheers Peter.
  10. Hi Rick, Some great pics there,I do like those backscenes. My brother 'Yellowvanman' is coming out in April we might have to pay you a visit. Cheers Peter.
  11. Hi Andi, Great to see the Ravensclyffe thread up and running again, the warehouse looks great.B) Cheers Peter.
  12. Vegemite tastes horrible my wife and daughter like it though, the jar on the bench just has water in it honest. Cheers Peter.
  13. Happy New Year to you too, great to see Vic Road back on RMweb. A layout based on the Cumbrian Coast sounds good, I have seen pics of the TPO train, what are you planning to do? end to end or roundy roundy. Cheers Peter.
  14. Thanks Dave, I have a blue grey one to do now, I managed to slice my thumb last night while cutting the steps off. Cheers Peter.
  15. Finished the TPO coach today, removing some end steps and patch painting didn't take as long as I thought it might, so I will crack on with the blue grey one now. 47561 is back together and just needs a bit of weathering. I might clean my workbench first though. Here is 47515 on the 3J03 about to depart for Crewe. The pic of 47515 bogies shows a first for me, I added the white wheel slip marks, hard to spot but looks ok I think. Cheers Peter.
  16. Hi Doug, Congratulations on the bubs, Had a look at your Tassie thread looks like you had a good time, I haven't been over yet but it's on the to do list. Cheers Peter.
  17. Happy New Year Doug, Hope you are all well, I think maybe Hornby saw your buffet and did it just to p1ss you off. Any updates on the layout, I haven't seen any pics for a while. Test Car is looking good BTW. Cheers Peter.
  18. Thanks Scott, I am weathering a post office red TPO at the moment so that should add even more colour. Cheers Peter.
  19. I haven't posted a pic on here for a while, so here is 47515 shunting a van at Llanbourne. Cheers Peter.
  20. Happy New Year, all. Finally finished 47515 last night, I was hoping to have 47561 finished as well but it's pretty close, it just needs to be put back together and have a bit of weathering. 47515 is more weathered than 47613 though this dosn't show up that well in the pics. Here is 47515 'Night Mail' shunting a van at Llanbourne. Hi Dave, No signal box from Santa, I am going to build my own. 2011 is going to be the year to do some buildings for Llanbourne. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hi Jon, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Lovely work on the Deltic it's really coming on well, just think when you come to do the others it will take less time. Cheers Peter.
  22. Hi Adam, Fox do transfers and etched nameplates, Shawplan also do etched nameplates. There are some nice pics of NSE class 50s in my NSE thread, in the prototype section. Cheers Peter.
  23. Hi Mark, All the best to you, hope Santa bought you some nice toys. Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi Alex, Llanbourne dosen't really need another class 20 as I still have a Railfreight headcode box and blue disc loco stashed away, though I may get a sound chipped one and do a body swap then sell one on. Cheers Peter.
  25. Thanks Tangmere Tornado, Glad you like Llanbourne, ask away if you have any questions for your planned layout. Cheer Peter.
