  1. Thanks Rick, they do look good.B) Cheers Peter.
  2. You are a dirty boy, Looks like you have been busy, Weathering looks really good, love that Western.B) The 08 looks pretty good too, did you do the vans behind the Western as well? Cheers Peter.
  3. 33026 is arriving with the 1D27 from Crewe, I think the Heljan 33/0 comes up alright with a bit of work I have added etch bufferbeam footsteps and an exhauster which will be standard fetures on the Phil Sutton new and improved loco. I am hoping they will do a batch of single locos I could be very tempted. My 33026 just needs some Pete Harvey bogie steps. to finish it off. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Jeff, Yes he did, not sure what my arm is doing, I may have been cleaning a bit of track. Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Alex, I saw my first 37/5 at Newport and thought it looked pretty good I might have to get one at some point. I actually have a Platform 5 book on my computer desk at the moment. I must admit I didn't buy each one. Cheers Peter.
  6. Thanks Larry, Have you any pics, Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi keith, Glad you all arrived home ok, it was great to see you all too. The layout did run well when we were out there playing. I didn't now about that third pic down. 25904 is still being used as station pilot. Yes the steel train, I will keep an eye out for it once I am back at work, can't believe you paid $10 for a pint but then you do like a beer don't you. Cheers Peter.
  8. Something I have done in the last few weeks is fix my bad running 37694. I removed the centre wheels which were sitting lower than the others making the bogies rock. I filed some plastic away and pushed the wheels back in they now sit level with the others and the loco runs alot better, and has been getting a bit of use. Here is ex works 37694 on the 7D30 Crewe - Penmaenmawr the loco has just run round and is about to depart. I am not sure if Crewe ever did send out ex works locos on normal service trains after being on test, but I think 37694 looks quite at home on the ballast. Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Dave, More great pics, the natural light shinning of the rails looks good. I do like the the DMU shot.B) Cheers Peter.
  10. Hi Mark, Just been catching up on Daves thread and realized I missed this post of yours from the other day. I used to live in Sway on the Bournemouth mainline and we did used to get the odd Scottish Duff down our way, The Wessex Scot, was a good train for them. I used to try and view it when I could. Here is a pic (posted before) but showing a Scottish Duff at Southampton, 47617 is also on my to do list. Cheers Peter.
  11. Hi Mark, Glad to hear you got the loco home, is it a T class? There are some very nice Australian models out there. One company released an A class last year and I was very tempted as it's one of my favourite locos, the same company recently released the N class which is another superb model but with a price tag of just under $ 300 I haven't bought one, yet. Best of luck with your bridge jump, try and get a few train pics while you are up there though, I can't imagine there will be many train pics from up there. Cheers Peter. Cheers Peter.
  12. Thanks Mark, If you ever come back to Melbourne let me know, you are more tham welcome. My brother and his family have had a great time. We went on Puffing Billy today which was great I haven't been on it for years. As the other guys said the N class is at Southern Cross, I think the new station looks pretty good, but not as nice as Flinders Street. Cheers Peter.
  13. Thanks Grimley, For an 80s based layout it would be rude not to have a few beers while driving, especially in my Garage. Cheers Peter.
  14. Hi Gaz, It's what I normally drink, Keith is more an Ale drinker and we have been to a few Breweries since he has been here and we have found a few nice beers. That said he doesn't mind a Boag's. Cheers Peter.
  15. Thanks for your coments guys. Hi Lewis, I remember seeing the old carriage shed during the late 80s early 90s, it's shame its gone as with so much other railway infrastructure. The detail on the layout is coming together quite well though I do need to get some more done, and stop working on stock. Thanks wal, I do like my class 25s. I know they aren't the most accurate model but I like them. No worries Rich, I think the EMU you mentioned is in a couple of Larrys pics at the top of the last page. I will take a few more pics of Llanbourne in the next few days as I have been out in the garage playing trains, so there is a bit of stock about. Thanks Alex, You are more then welcome to drop by if you are ever in Melbourne. We are only about an hours drive South of the city. Thanks Phil, I ahd a quick at your thread and your senics are looking good, I really have to do some senics on my new bit, just need to work what I need to do. Cheers Peter
  16. I do love a fart joke. pmsl Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks Rich, Here are a couple of pics for you. As some of you know my brother 'Yellowvanman' is over here on holiday at the moment, so I haven't done much out in the garage apart from run a few train for Keith and his nipper James. I managed to get one of the pair playing trains tonight, Keith is concentrating on driving in a class 25 on Speedlink. A couple from earlier in the week, Keith gets a pic of K163, we also managed an hour on the bridge near Southern Cross in Melbourne, unfortunately the weather was pants. Cheers Peter,
  18. Not sure if this has been asked for, but what about a loco shed with the flat type roof like the shed that used to be at Holyhead. Cheers Peter.
  19. Hi Arpster, Your dad has done a brilliant with this, the detail in the loco shed is superb, though I do like the 9F and the hoppers on the previous page.B) Hope all goes well for the exhibition. Cheers Peter.
  20. Hi Mark, That viaduct is looking really good,B) the rest of the layout is really coming together too. I really must try and do some more on Llanbourne. Like the 37s too, can't beat a large logo Tractor. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hi Ian, Thanks for that, Can't believe I missed 47492. I was worried it may have been painted a bit late for my time period 1986-7, but found a pic showing the loco was painted Sept 86 and it had Inverness logo and ploughs by early 87. It has a round boiler port but I think this loco is will have to be done. Thanks again cheers Peter.
  22. Hi Rick, I do like the Maroon Western,B) I think that livery really suited them. Looks like a few spotters in the background. Hope your meeting went well, Sorry we couldn't make it, we were comming back from Phillip Island, maybe another time. Cheers Peter.
  23. Hi Dave, More nice pics, I like the red BRUTES,B) haven't seen a class 25 for a while, is it on a Dundee service? Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi Derek, Nice pics, still not sure if I will do that one. I really want to do one with the Yellow Inverness logo but I think the only Scottish 47 with that and ploughs in Scotrail livery was 47541. Cheers Peter.
