  1. Thanks Rick, I was 6 in 1974. didn't get to Scotland until 85 so missed out on 26s and NB 37s. Cheers Peter.
  2. Thanks Lee, Haven't taken many pics recently as it's been a bit warm out in the garage. Though seems cooler today. Cheers Peter.
  3. Thanks Doug, I will give that a go. Are you and jeff going to the meeting next week? Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Arnie, Love the peds, just as I remember them. pretty much sh#t bound with paint peeling. Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Mark, The wagon look great, those tie downs really make a difference. Cheers Peter.
  6. Just a quick update, I haven't done much recently but have managed to do a bit to my terrace houses, I have added the gutters and have almost finished making the windows. I have used a door from a Scalescenes kit but I don't think it looks right so I might have a go at making some from plasticard. I still need to do the downpipes, anyone know what diameter they should be for 4mm? About 1mm ? Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi Ken, Re our chat on the gallery page, I have finally taken a few pics of 25109s ploughs. As you guessed they are Heljan ploughs which I have cut a slot into, which is just big enough to fit a NEM type Kadee, 18 or 19 will do. As you may be able to see from the pic I have pushed the Kadee through and glued in a piece of platicard to hold the kadee inplace I found a small screw to help hold the thing together, though I have done a Heljan class 33 the same way but not used a screw. I just glued platicard either side or the coupler behind the centre plough which seems to be enough to hold it in place. Hope this helps, if you need more info let me know. Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi Wayne, Glad to hear you are still making some progress. Cheers Peter.
  9. No worries, It's always something you can go back and do. Understand the time thing, I haven't done much for weeks now. Cheers Peter.
  10. Hi Damian, The vans look good though most of them had the end steps removed along with that handrail. Some had the bottom step left. This my not bother you you but thought you should know. Cheers Peter.
  11. Hi Leon, Big ones for sure, keep the small ones though they might be ok for a wagon. I have a Vi 47401, the buffers on mine were broken I got some spares sent over and they were broken as well. I have some brass ones to put on now. I agree with you they don't seem to run as well as the Bachmann ones. I have seem some very nice repaints of the Vi model and they do come up really well. I just like the look of the Bachmann ones better. It's just a matter of choice really. It may be possible to add some extra pick ups as I think they only pick up on 4 wheels per bogie where as the Bachmann pick up on all 6 though I have had to tweak them on some models. Cheers Peter.
  12. Hi Arnie, I like the 37/5 very nice, you have done a good job on the class 58 too. Cheers Peter.
  13. Hi Mark, Love the new class 37s 409 is a beast. The latest layout pics are superb the bridge looks great, as do the senics, it's really coming together. I need to put some telagraph poles on Llanbourne but I am not really sure where to put them. One of the problems modelling a ficticious place. Keep up the great work, Rannoch is looking superb. Cheers Peter.
  14. Thanks Dave, Hope you had a good one, and are feeling at home in your new house. Cheers Peter.
  15. Thanks Mark, I imagine it is quite cold over there at the moment, it's a lot cooler here today only mid 20s. Glad to here it's not so cold that you can't play trains. Cheers Peter.
  16. making them work would be a start. I was talking to someone last year about rebuilding them and making them operational, but thats a while off yet. Cheers Peter.

looking great Kev, I tried to post a pic of 20121 the other day, but here it is anyway, bit late as you have finished your loco but might be useful. Cheers Peter.
  18. Hi Jeff, 42.2 was outside, only just dropping now 34.5. My garage would have been high 40s even 50. Hopefully cooler tomorrow I have to go to work. Cheers peter.
  19. 42.2 here. not game to go out into the garage. Cheers Peter.
  20. Hi All. Looks like Andy and the team have fixed the pic loading problem. Here are some pics of the 2Z08, Day three of the train running saw 45103 work the train, this time it left late and from platform 3. Day four and 47106 with working boiler ( note steam leaking from loco and first coach) hauled the train. Day five saw no heat class 25109 on the train, this would have been a cold trip but I would have done it for a bit of Rat haulage. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hi Bruv, 39.6 outside right now, A bit too hot really. Off to the beach latter. Cheers Peter.
  22. Thanks Dave, Thought that was the case, I am happy to wait. Cheers Peter.
  23. Thanks Rick, Yes, to hot for running trains, it takes a while to cool down out there too so no trains for a few days as it's going to hit the high 30s again tomorrow. I did take a few pics the other day but still can't seem to load them. Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi Rick, Happy New Year to you and Sharon, Love the pics of the new years eve running session, I am glad it cooled down enough for you, It's already back up to 30. I agree with Jeff, it's agreat layout and the best thing is it's in Oz so I get to see it. Cheers Peter.
  25. I would just like to say Happy New Year everyone, especially Andy and the team who do a great job. Thanks for all the coments troughout the year, also thanks to all who have posted pictures of trains etc on the North Wales Coast. It all keeps me inspired to keep going and Improving Llanbourne. At the end of each year I normally write down what I want to try and get done in the next year. It helps to keep me focused, I don't worry to much if I don't get everything ticked off as it's just a guide. If the mood takes me to do something not on the list I will do it. If something has been on the list for a few years I try and make it a priority. The to do list for 2012 is. Layout. Terrace house, Station roof, Loco shed, signal box, Backscenes. Stock. 37428, 31403, 45110, FNA and barriers, 150 Sprinter, Large Loco 47. 50042. Cheers Peter.
