  1. Thanks Mark, Still following your progress on Shawbury, your buildings get done way quicker than mine. Cheers Peter.
  2. Thanks Rick, it gets into the high 40s in my garage and the only affect the heat has is on the point rodding, which does tend to bend a bit and has come unstuck in a few places. My platforms are Hornby covered in Slaters platicard and that has come unstuck and split in a few places. That would be about it though. Cheers Peter.
  3. I haven't been doing much recently, partly due to a case of the CBFs plus it's been pretty warm here too and the garage does get quite warm. I have managed to do a bit more the the terrace houses this week as it was a bit cooler on Monday and Tuesday. I had a go at the down pipes and think the angle is wrong where they join the gutters so I think I will do them again, I also managed to get a pic of 25904 arriving on a short van train from Bangor. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Rick, Some more great pics. It was 38 when I went down for a swim at 7.00 this evening, the tide was in and there were plenty of fish about. Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Jeff, Looking good, I do like the look of that Kernow models class 22 It's almost as good as your silverfox one. Cheers Peter.
  6. No worries guys, I don't mind Bourbons myself, don't them in Oz though. Hope the show goes well at the weekend, and keep the pics coming. Cheers Peter.
  7. Same here mate, glad to see you back on, looking forwards to seeing some updates. All the best Peter.
  8. Hi Damian, Some great pics, and you must be please with your Grid, 013 looks superb. Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Ian, That would be great, name your favourite biscuits and I will be there. We are planning to travel around a fair bit but have nothing sorted yet, so I will have to let you know nearer the time and sort out what suits you if that's ok. Cheers Peter.
  10. Hi Kevin, Have you any shows booked for September, as I am coming over for that month and maybe the end of August. I wouldn't mind getting a few shows in while I am over. Cheers Peter.
  11. You blokes seem to be as interested in Pasties and veg as trains. So I am willing to bet a Pasty and a pint that it's a coal sector Grid maybe 56013. 56s are the ones that look like a class 47, two windows flat front for you steam boys. Cheers Peter.
  12. Hi Leon, Me again, I was scanning a slide for a mate and thought you might like these two. My Scanner does't do slides very well, but here they are. I would guess the 37/5s are on the same train as Brian mentions above. Cheers Peter.
  13. Hi Leon, Great news on the job, 47612 looks good too I have a couple that I have renumbered, they come up really well. So much so I couldn't resist buying another from Modelzone. Cheers Peter. PS I am sure I have seen pics of 612 or 613 on a p way train, and being based at Old Oak Common would probably have made it to South Wales fairly regularly.
  14. Thanks Jamie, Thats just what I needed. Cheers Peter.
  15. Hi Doug, Hope you are all well. It's great that you have had some time on the layout, there will be no stopping you now. I think I will be going DCC this year as I now have 4 sound chipped loco's. Plenty of other things to do as well so it wont happen too quickly. All the best Peter.
  16. Thanks Mark, The gutters are all but done I used some half round section from the Evergreen range, I still need to get some 1mm rod for the downpipes, I am not sure how I will make up the brackets that hold it to the walls, so any ideas. Etch doors would be nice I have toned down the Saclescene door but I have also made one up out of plasticard, so I will see how that looks once I have painted it. 33202 is one of my favourites, it's running really well since I added some nice shiny replacement wheels. Cheers Peter.
  17. Hi Mark. I was over Geelong way today for the BRMA meeting, I think it would have been high 30s certainly felt like it. The rent in the terrace houses wont be much as there's no furniture or rooms come to that. Good for a bit of train spotting though. Cheers Peter.
  18. Thanks Pete, I am planning on doing a bit to the layout this year, but do have a few blue locos that I want to do. first up should be a class 31/4 then a Canton based 37/4. I am not getting much done at all at the moment though as it been pretty hot here the last few weeks. Cheers Peter.
  19. Hi Ken, Here are a few pics of my class 33, I am not sure what my min radius is but it quite tight. As you can see there isn't much room between bogie and ploughs but it seems to work. Class 33 ploughs are slightly smaller than the class 26/27 ones, but it shouldn't make too much difference Cheers Peter.
  20. Hi Merf, Just been catching up on this thread only to see that nice Landrover pic. What year would E reg be? I am wondering if I can get one for my layout. Cheers Peter.
  21. Quite a choice, I am feeling thirsty just reading the list. Cheers Peter.
  22. Hi Rick, Pub looks good, what beers have they got on I could do with a nice pint. Cheers Peter.
  23. Thanks Lee, I like your thinking, a bit of grime might tone it down. I am looking forwards to getting them finished too, they have been on the go for about five years now. Cheers Peter.
  24. Thanks Mullie, Glad you like it, it keeps me off the streets and out of the pub. Cheers Peter.
