  1. Thanks Neil, There is some info on what I have done to the model on my workbench thread, but if you need any more info let me know. Cheers Peter.
  2. For the first time in probably over a year a new loco is almost ready to enter service on Llanbourne. 31403 is all but finished and I couldn't resist a quick test run. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Neil, Thanks, yes I am quite looking forwards to coming up to Barrow Hill, it will be good to catch up and with any other RMwebers going. Cheers Peter.
  4. I have almost finished 31403 it just needs some wire for the ETH socket. I couldn't resist a quick test run. Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Phil, superb video, the layout looks great. Cheers Peter.
  6. Hi Pete, Have a go at Kyle, I have a few 7mm bits and fancy doing something Scottish myself I already have a Lima class 33 and conversion kit for 26/7 I will build it one day but at the moment its gathering dust under Llanbourne. I have seen some Lima MK1s detailed up and they look pretty good with a bit of work. Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi Ian, Flights sorted and some dates I will PM you over the next few days, but Barrow Hill on the 22nd Sept and Farham on the 7th of Oct are looking good. Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi Mark, Love the latest pics, the one looking up to the viaduct is superb. I see you have been tempted with a class 85, maybe you next layout will have some overhead now. I have been planning a small layout with OHL myself though haven't had the spare cast to get an 85 yet. Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Alex, Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it. I haven't seen it myself yet, I might have to get a copy when I come over next month. Cheers Peter.
  10. Thanks Scott, My eye for detail is ok, making up the detail bits is harder and I do sometimes wonder why I bother when I am crawling around the floor looking for the bit I have just spent ten minutes making. It is sometimes quicker to just make another. Cheers Peter.
  11. Thanks Jon, I always think of class 31s as fairly grubby as they had all those grilles and panels where the dirt would build up. I will do another one at some point but it will be a bit cleaner. A nice 31/4 with white stripe would look good parked up with your Deltic. 31403 was one of the Finsbury Park white stripe locos back in the late 70s early 80s. I haven't seen the Traction article yet, glad you enjoyed it. Cheers Peter.
  12. I have finally done some weathering on 31403, it's almost done now. 37284 has also had some weathering but when I sprayed some matt varnish on the roof to tone things down a bit the spray didn't seem to take to some areas and the finish was crap so I have had to start again. I will try with another brand of spray this time. I have also started work on turning a Bachmannn 37417 into a Canton based 37428. Cheers Peter.
  13. Hi Rick, Just love that going away shot of the 22 and Warship. Superb weathering. Cheers Peter.
  14. Hi Alex, Nice to see a bit of blue mate. There is a pic of my crew bus on my thread somewhere but here it is. Done a few years ago now, needs a bit more work but looks ok. Cheers Peter.

Hi Kev, We can but dream, I only had a few class 27s for haulage but thought they were great locos. Nice pics by the way. Is 37178 still working the up service? Be nice to see it on a passenger train. Cheers Peter.
  16. Hi Mate, Nice to hear from you, glad you like the article. The sheep on the class 37 was something that some Cardiff Canton based 37 locos had painted on. Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks Dave, enjoy the article and have a good holiday. We had a couple of cold days this week, when I went to work the other morning it was only 5 degrees, I thnk the top for that day was only 12, the temp soon drops of once the sun starts to head off to you guys. Sunny today though would have got to 15 easy. Cheers Peter.
  18. Hi Jeff, I tried to reply the other day but t computer had a bit of a fit. Anyway nice to see the Brits winning a few medals, hope you sorted your baseboard risers. Cheers Peter.
  19. Hi Jeff, Nice to see you gettinga bit done, I should be up for your meeting in a couple of weeks. I see a problem though. Your fiddle yard isn't going to be big enough.lol Cheers Peter.

What a beast, I am right behind you. Can't beat a bit of 27 haulage. Cheers Peter.
  21. Definitely go the electrofrog Phil, Cheers Peter.
  22. Hi Alex, Check out Jims vehicle tread he has done a few ford Cargos for his P4 New Street layout I did a crew bus a few years back too. The Cergo is an old Corgi model, they did a M.A.N as well. Jim has also done a later model Transit by replacing the front. I think you could have yours dumped round the back of the shed looking a bit tatty. I have done an old Leyland crew bus looking a bit knackered for Llanbourne. Cheers Peter.
  23. Hi Jeff, I wish I could afford to come back more often, I was over a few years back on my own for my brothers 40th last time I was over with my family was 2003. The plan this time is to travel around a bit as it will probably be the last chance to do the trip with my daughter in tow for a while as school will get more intence in the next few years. Hopefully I will get some time to see afew trains. Oh and we don't fly Qantas it's not the airline it used to be. We went to NZ in 2007 a mate got married there it's a beautiful place though we only did a bit of the South island we stayed in Christchurch before it was ruined. If you are coming this far you should call into Oz on your way back. Cheers Peter.
