  1. Some Nice Pic Rick, I really like the first two, the Western on the early morning passenger looks nice with the van in the consist. Cheers Peter.
  2. Just been catching up Jeff, I really like those 9fs though some real coal in the tenders would really finish them off. With regard to what locos you will need, I made up a timetable for Llanbourne then made up loco diagrams to suit, it helped me work out what locos I would need and what I had to get plus a few spares of course. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Leon, I am still fairly new to DCC and sound, I bought a Biffo sound chip from DC kits, class 33. It comes with a speaker wired to the decoder so its just a case of finding room to put the speaker. The Digitrains Zimo sound is pretty good too. With them you choose your decoder then choose the sound you want plus your choice of speaker. The decoder has two wires coming from it which you solder to the speaker. I emailed them and they were very helpful with what to use on what loco. I have also emailed Legomanbiffo about some reblows he is also very helpful. I also think you ballast looks fine. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Leon, Yes I should have said red and green. Though the more I think about it a Ground signal might be enough. Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Leon, Love the latest pics, the layout has so much detail now, it all blends in so well and gives a great backdrop for all your stock. Did you get any help on the signal? I am no expert but maybe a two aspect would suit as your not running at high speed, as most thing stop in your yard. If you shunt things past you my also need a ground shunt signal. It depends on how you operate things really, if the tunnel leads to a mainline you may only need the shunt signal. Cheers Peter.
  6. The DMU looks good Rick, See you tomorrow at Dougs. Cheers peter
  7. Latest pics look great Mark, That groundframe is a top little model, 37409 is a beast too, I saw 37419 in the same livery when I was over last year. Cheers Peter.
  8. Get that layout cleaned up mate, I am pretty sure you won't need the fire going, if you get Jeff started on Buses or things Southern he can heat the room up on his own. lol See you Saturday. Cheers Peter.
  9. Thanks Rick, As you say a bit of a wet one today, Leanne had a clothing party so I was out in the garage all evening, once the heaters been on for a bit it's quite snug. Back inside now with the wood heater on. I am planning to go up to young Mr Doug's meeting I can pick you up if you want. Cheers Peter.
  10. In a word No, but Kangaroo is quite popular though I am not keen on it. Actually saw some today only a few minuted from home. Cheers Peter.
  11. They do but those Koala's are such rebels they don't give a f###. Cheers Peter.
  12. Great little layout Nigel, I must admit I prefer the earlier period but those EWS liv 37s do look nice. I really like the pics of 50019 on ballast I remember seeing the loco a few times back in the day. Cheers Peter.
  13. Thanks Colin, Your mention of Oleo buffers got me thinking. I had a rummage through my bits box and found some that I think will do the job, they are a good match with the buffers on my Bachmann Sealion so will do. I will still have to get some more as I plan to do another two Whales. The buffers I have are brass but no idea what make they are. Cheers Peter.
  14. During the week I have sorted the tunnelmouth which I finished of today, I have also made some loads for my Bachmann and Hornby Seacows and Sealions. I have also glued the nose grille back onto 08695, and done some more to a Cambrian Whale kit that I started last year, though it would seem I have lost two of the buffers. Any ideas on whitemetal or brass replacements. Also another pic of 08472 taken with a better camera. Cheers Peter.
  15. Thanks Arnie, Didn't realize it was a Heljan, it does look good. Flats and shops look good, Cheers Peter.
  16. Hi Rick, Nice to see the Hymek back in action, hope it's running ok. Cheers Peter.
  17. Well Arp your Dad has a classic, don't let the Top Gear boys see it though. I was going to post this pic the other day, I see Kangaroos most weeks while driving about for work but I haven't seen a Koala for ages. This little chap walked across the road then turned round and walked back, sorry about the quality of the pic. Cheers Peter.
  18. Thanks Jeff, I think I have saved the tunnelmouth, which is good as I didn't fancy making up another one. Funny how out of all the cars I have posted on here the Marina has had the most interest. Cheers Peter.
  19. Love the latest Pics Andy, Really like the shot looking up to the blue class 27 on passenger about to pass over the bridge. Cheers Peter.
  20. Looking good Jeff, I have just cut my tunnelmouth down as I made to high, I got carried away with building it and didn't put it up against were it was going to go. I am almost at the plaster bandage buying stage, almost time to get mucky. Cheers Peter.

Looks good Kev, Where will you put the speaker on this one, you have pipework in the way. Cheers Peter.
  22. Thanks Mark & Cav, I am pretty happy with Llanbourne's class 08s I spent a bit of time finding suitable pictures of Crewe allocated 08s. I spent a bit of time standing on the front step back in the day so wanted to get them looking right. Nice one Keith, I do remember Dad hiring one with a vinyl roof while I think it was his Ital was getting fixed. Would your V reg beast be one of the later Marina's I am sure my Dads Ital was a W reg. Thanks Ian, It is quite tempting but I need other stock before I buy one, I already have two Bachmann class 47s in my to do pile. Cheers Peter.
  23. Thanks Ian, Sounds very interesting, would I be right in thinking this new bit will stay at home then? I remember seeing that class 47 on Kevin's layout now you mention it. Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi Alan, Just been catching up on your thread, I must say its a super model railway the whole thing has a great feel about it and the time table really finishes it off, all the trains having a reason for being there. looking forwards to see whats due next. Cheers Peter.
  25. The weathering on the class 47s looks great Arnie, What model did you use for your freightliner machine, the cut away bufferbeams are a nice touch. Quite common with alot later on in life. Cheers Peter.
